00:11Kelsey's dad, Ed Kelsey, chatted with News 5 Cleveland on Tuesday and spilled some tea,

00:17notably sharing that the couple actually got engaged about two weeks ago.

00:21Ed revealed that his son actually got down on one knee maybe two weeks,

00:25not quite two weeks ago, at a garden in Lee Summit, Missouri.

00:28He added that Travis was going to put it off till this week.

00:32I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off till this week

00:36to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event.

00:40And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road,

00:43do it any place that makes it a special event, when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.

00:48He also shared that Travis's plan to propose was months in the making,

00:52and that he actually expected him to pop the question during last year's NFL season.

00:56However, the special day came in August, which, as Swifties know, is a special month for the singer.

01:03They were about to go out to dinner, and he said, let's go out and have a glass of wine.

01:07They got out there, and that's when he asked her, and it was beautiful.

01:10They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew.
