00:00Powerful explosions light up skies over Kyiv.

00:05From dusk till dawn, the Ukrainian capital came under another wave of Russian missile

00:10and drone strikes.

00:12Several residential areas were hit.

00:14I woke up to the sound of breaking glass.

00:19We looked outside and the house was on fire.

00:21The men immediately started rescuing people.

00:24They pulled out a child, then an unconscious woman.

00:27Then the rescue operations began.

00:29Everyone was terrified, of course.

00:35In total, Russia launched 36 missiles and nearly 600 drones, which the Ukrainian president

00:41says were aimed at the civilian population.

00:44At around 2 a.m., the house behind me was hit.

00:49A drone struck the building between the second and third floors.

00:53In total, about 10 houses were damaged.

00:56Around 300 windows were broken.

00:59Times were gutted.

01:00And critical energy infrastructure also struck.

01:03Authorities say nearly 600,000 households across the country were left without electricity.

01:10These attacks come at a delicate diplomatic moment for Volodymyr Zelensky, weakened by the resignation

01:16of his closest aide following an anti-corruption investigation.
