The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, has conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws on former Chief Justice of Malaysia Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat in recognition of her service and contributions.

00:14recognition of her exemplary service and contributions. Tengku Maimun, who returned
00:20to her alma mater at University Malaya to receive the degree at the convocation, made
00:25history as the first woman to be appointed Chief Justice from May 2019 to July 2025.
