David Byrne responds to criticism he's received from former bandmates (one evening comparing him to Donald Trump): "I also know that there were periods where, like when we were making 'Stop Making Sense,' where I had this vision of what the show could be and I probably wasn't the easiest person in the world to work with."

00:00there were times when you know your bandmates said less than flattering things about you in
00:04the press i think there was an interview where tina called you a bully or said that you compared
00:08you to trump and that was like six months or nine months before you were all you know on a stage
00:12together how do you kind of get over that you know um you know i mercifully i didn't read a lot of
00:20that stuff um i'd hear about it a little bit like you like you just told me um but i didn't read a
00:28lot of it and i realized uh okay um i also know that there were periods where like when we were
00:39making stop making sense where i had this vision of what this show could be and i probably wasn't
00:46the easiest person in the world to work with because i was kind of very single-minded about
00:51uh no the lighting should be like this and uh we have the the crew has to rehearse bringing those
01:02wheeling those uh risers out so that they're as much a part of the show as the band is it all worked
01:11but i think i was not the easiest person to work with in those days now i kind of know how to
01:19collaborate a little bit better
