00:05Adult Swim's animated sensation Rick and Morty has posted its entire season 5 premiere online for free.

00:12The 10-episode news season launched Sunday evening and the return episode was posted on YouTube early Monday.

00:17The premiere has already racked up close to 5 million views and was the No. 2 trending video on the platform by mid-morning Monday.

00:24It's also worth noting that the network released the uncensored version of the return episode online,

00:29making it more vulgar than the version that airs on Adult Swim.

00:32Season 5 premieres more than a year after the season 4 finale, which aired in May of 2020.

00:38Guest stars this season reportedly include Timothy Oliphant, Christina Ricci and Alison Brie.

00:43Back in 2018, Adult Swim struck a deal with co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon to create another 70 episodes of Rick and Morty,

00:52which will bring its eventual total to at least 100.
