Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Lena Headey react to Jaime and Cersei's alleged rape scene during Game Of Thrones Breaker of Chains episode.
Transcript
00:00Lots of fans were left uncomfortable and very angry by that Jaime and Cersei rape scene
00:04from Sunday's Game of Thrones episode.
00:06The director and Game of Thrones creator have all responded to the backlash, but now we
00:10get to know what the actors that were actually involved in the scene thought about it.
00:14Nicola Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, put it frankly, telling the Daily Beast,
00:18Even though the scene plays out differently in the books, he defends the show's decision
00:33to depict it that way, saying,
00:34So, did he think it was rape?
00:47He goes on to say yes and no.
00:49There are moments where she gives in and moments where she pushes him away, but it's not pretty.
00:53Natalie Dormer, who plays Marjorie Tyrell, spoke with Lena Headley, aka Cersei, about the heavy
00:58scene and she shared Lena's feelings with E, saying,
01:01I remember talking to Lena in the makeup trailer the day before she had to shoot that.
01:04She had mixed feelings about it for obvious reasons.
01:07But as an actor, those scenes are the ones you really get to sink your teeth into.
01:11So there's sort of a perverse enjoyment in exploring those really dramatic moments as
01:15well.
01:16So this isn't the first time Game of Thrones has pushed the buttons on some very sensitive
01:21issues and we really don't think it'll be the last.
01:23Brothers and sisters, where I come from, that stain would be very difficult to wash out.
01:31I'm Nelaina Scantlin.
