00:00Does the COVID vaccine cause your cousin's friend's balls to swell?
00:07Is that medically accurate?
00:10Ken Jeong is using his medical expertise to debunk Nicki Minaj's vaccine theories.
00:15Before his career as a comedian, actor and host,
00:18Jeong was also a practicing internist for seven years.
00:21So during an appearance on The Late Late Show,
00:23Jeong took the time to address the state of the coronavirus,
00:26as well as Nicki Minaj's tweet saying there's no truth to it.
00:29In any cousin, nephew, relative, it doesn't cause any ball swelling whatsoever.
00:37There it is.
00:38He also joked to not get any medical advice from Nicki Minaj.
00:42I do get a little cardio, like cardiology from Cardi B because she's a licensed cardiologist.
00:46But other than that.
00:47On a more serious note, Jeong said that the medical community could have done a better job
00:51by sharing information about the pandemic and the Delta variant.
00:54He said the Delta variant is so contagious because the amount of virus
00:58is a thousand times the concentration of the original COVID strain.
01:02He then compared the vaccines to an umbrella protecting you from the rain.
01:06And there's a monsoon.
01:07There's a hurricane coming down.
01:09You're going to get wet.
01:10You're going to get affected.
01:12Later in the interview, Corden noted that the Asian Hall of Fame
01:15recently announced Jeong as a new inductee.
01:17The comedian said that the message the organization wants to spread is to stop Asian hate.
01:22Once this pandemic reaches, you know, a new meadow of like end,
01:28then we as an Asian American culture can also have some peace as well.
