00:00Come on, baby. Settle down now. What did mummy just say? Settle down. That's more like it.
00:26Lay down and relax. You've been working so hard for mummy. I love spending this quality time with you. You're so special to me, baby.
00:56And all that hard work you've been doing really, really makes me proud.
01:05Would you like mummy to tickle you? Say yes, mummy. That's better. Good boy.
01:33Do you like it when I call you a good boy? You're my good boy. All mine.
01:57Close your eyes, baby.
02:11Close your eyes, baby.
02:25I said close them. That's it.
02:35Now, focus on the sensation of my fingertips tracing around your eyes and up your nose.
02:53Behind your ears, down your neck. Feel them trace along your chest.
03:15You love mummy's touch, don't you? Yeah. And mummy loves touching you.
03:31Your fingers running down your chest.
03:33Your fingers running down your chest. Around your navel. And then...
03:47back up your face. Do you like the way my nails run along your skin?
03:53That's it, baby. That's more like it.
04:11You look so peaceful. I love it when you submit to my touch.
04:33You make mummy feel warm and fuzzy.
04:43You look so sleepy. And so content.
04:55I'm so glad that I have that effect.
05:11Would you like me to hum for you? My sweet thing.
05:17Okay. Mummy knows what's good for you.
05:33Keep those eyes closed for me, darling.
05:39I'll stroke your hair whilst I love.
05:41I'll stroke your hair whilst I love.
05:45That should send you to sleep.
05:49Okay.
05:51Okay.
05:52Okay.
05:53Let's go.
05:54Okay.
05:55Let's try.
05:57Again.
05:59Okay.
06:00Let's go.
06:01Okay.
06:02I'm gonna do it again.
06:03Okay.
06:04So.
06:05I'll go.
06:06Okay.
06:07We'll try again.
06:08Okay.
06:09So, let's try again.
06:11Okay.
06:12Okay.
06:13Okay.
06:14Okay.
08:22Shall I go find us a story?
08:26Hmm?
08:28Okay, my darling.
08:30You stay there.
08:32I'll be back in a second, okay?
08:36Good boy for staying where you are.
08:40I like it when you follow Mummy's orders.
08:44The selfish giant.
08:54Every afternoon as they were coming from school, the children used to go and play in the giant's garden.
09:04It was a lovely garden with soft green grass.
09:10Here and there over the grass stood beautiful flowers like stars.
09:16And there were twelve peach trees that in the springtime broke out into delicate blossoms of pink and pearl.
09:28And in the autumn, four rich fruits.
09:36The birds sat on the trees and sang so sweetly.
09:42But the children used to stop their games in order to listen to them.
09:48How happy we are here, they cried to each other.
09:52One day, the giant came back.
09:58He had been to visit a friend and had stayed with him for seven years.
10:06After the seven years were over, he had said all that he had had to say, for his conversation was limited.
10:18And he determined to return to his own castle.
10:24When he arrived, he saw the children playing in the garden.
10:29What are you doing here?
10:32He cried in a very gruff voice.
10:36And the children ran away.
10:38My own garden is my own garden, said the giant.
10:44Anyone can understand that.
10:46And I will allow nobody to play in it.
10:50But myself.
10:52So he built a high wall around it.
10:56And put up a notice book.
11:00Trespassers will be prosecuted.
11:04He was a very selfish giant.
11:08The poor children had nowhere to play.
11:12They tried to play on the road.
11:14But the road was very dusty.
11:16And full of hard stones.
11:18And they did not like it.
11:20They used to wander around the high wall.
11:24When their lessons were over.
11:26And talk about the beautiful garden inside.
11:30How happy we were.
11:32They said to each other.
11:34And then.
11:36Spring came.
11:38And all over the country.
11:40There were little blossoms.
11:42And little birds.
11:44Only in the garden of the selfish giant.
11:48It was still winter.
11:50The birds did not care to sing in it.
11:54There were no children.
11:56And the trees forgot to blossom.
11:58Once a beautiful flower.
12:00Put its head out of the grass.
12:02But when it saw the notice board.
12:04It was so sorry for the children.
12:06That it slipped.
12:08Back into the ground again.
12:10And went off to sleep.
12:12The only people.
12:20Who were pleased.
12:22Were the snow.
12:24And the forest.
12:26Spring has forgotten this garden.
12:30They cried.
12:32So we will live here.
12:34All year round.
12:36The snow covered the grass.
12:38With her great white cloak.
12:40And the frost painted the forests silver.
12:46Then they invited the north wind.
12:50To stay with them.
12:52And he came.
12:54He was wrapped in furs.
12:56And he roared all day.
12:58Around the garden.
13:00And blew the chimney pots down.
13:02This is a delightful spot.
13:06He said.
13:08We must ask the hailed.
13:10On a visit.
13:12So the hail came.
13:14Every day.
13:15For three hours.
13:16He rattled.
13:18On the roof of the castle.
13:20Till he broke.
13:22Most of the slates.
13:24Then he ran around the garden.
13:26As fast as he could go.
13:28He was dressed in grey.
13:30And his breath was like ice.
13:34I cannot understand.
13:36Why spring is so late in coming.
13:38Said the selfish giant.
13:40As he sat in the window.
13:42And looked out.
13:44At his cold.
13:45White garden.
13:46White garden.
13:48I hope there will be a change in the weather.
13:50But spring never came.
13:52Nor did summer.
14:00The autumn gave.
14:02Golden fruit to every garden.
14:04But not to the giant's garden.
14:06She gave none.
14:08He's too selfish.
14:10She said.
14:12So it was always winter there.
14:14And the north wind.
14:16The hail.
14:18And the frost.
14:20And the snow.
14:22Danced.
14:23Through the trees.
14:24One morning.
14:26The giant.
14:27Was lying awake in bed.
14:29When he heard.
14:30Some lovely music.
14:32It sounded so sweet.
14:35His ears.
14:37He.
14:43It sounded.
14:44So sweet.
14:45To his ears.
14:47He thought.
14:48That it must be.
14:49The king's musicians.
14:50Passing by.
14:51It was.
14:53Really.
14:54Only.
14:55A little.
14:56Lilit.
14:57Singing.
14:58Outside.
14:59His window.
15:00But it was so long.
15:01Since he had heard.
15:02Birds sing.
15:03In his garden.
15:04That it seemed.
15:05To be.
15:06The most beautiful.
15:07Music.
15:08In the world.
15:10Then the hail.
15:11Stopped.
15:12Dancing.
15:13Over his head.
15:14And the north wind.
15:15Ceased.
15:16Rory.
15:17And a delicious.
15:18Perfume.
15:19Came.
15:20Through.
15:21The open.
15:22I believe.
15:23The spring.
15:24Has come.
15:25At last.
15:26Said the giant.
15:27And he jumped.
15:29Out of bed.
15:30And looked out.
15:31What did he see?
15:33He saw.
15:35The most beautiful sight.
15:38Through a hole.
15:40In the wall.
15:41The children.
15:42Had crept in.
15:43And they were sitting.
15:45In the branches.
15:46Of the trees.
15:47In every tree.
15:48That he could see.
15:50There was a little child.
15:51And the trees.
15:53Were glad.
15:54To have the children.
15:55Back.
16:00Again.
16:01That they had.
16:02Covered themselves.
16:03In blossom.
16:04And were waving their arms.
16:07Gently.
16:08Above the children's head.
16:09The birds.
16:11Were flying about.
16:12And twittering.
16:13With delight.
16:14And the flowers.
16:15Were looking up.
16:16Through the green grass.
16:17And laughing.
16:18It was a lovely scene.
16:19Only in one corner.
16:20It was still winter.
16:21It was the farthest corner.
16:22In the garden.
16:23And in it.
16:24Was standing.
16:25A little boy.
16:26He was so small.
16:27That he couldn't reach out.
16:28To the branches.
16:29Of the tree.
16:30And he was wandering around.
16:31Crying bitterly.
16:32The poor tree.
16:33Was still quite covered.

17:19the tree and then I will knock down the wall and my garden shall be the children's playground
17:27forever and ever. He was really very sad for what he had done. So he crept downstairs and
17:37opened the front door softly and went into the garden. But when the children saw him
17:45they were so frightened that they all ran away and the garden became winter again. Only
17:52the little boy did not run. When he saw the giant coming his eyes were full of tears and
18:05the giant stole up behind him and took him gently by his hand and put him up into the tree. And
18:14the tree broke at once into blossom and the birds came and sang on it. And the little
18:21boy stretched his arms and flung them around the giant's neck and kissed him. And the other
18:30children when they saw that the giant was not wicked any longer came running back. And
18:37with them came spring. It's your garden now little children said the giant as he took
18:44a great axe and knocked down the wall. And when the people were going to market at twelve o'clock
18:52they found the giant playing with the children in the most beautiful garden they had ever seen.
18:59All day long they played and in the evening the giant would bid them goodbye.
19:06But where is your little companion? He said. The boy I put in the tree. The giant loved him
19:19the best because he had kissed him. He don't know answered the children. He's gone away.
19:28You must tell him to be sure to come here tomorrow said the giant. But the children said that they
19:36did not know where he lived and that they had never seen him before. And the giant fell sad.
19:44Every afternoon when the school was over the children came and played in the giant's garden. But the
19:59little boy whom the giant loved was never seen again. The giant was very kind to all the children. Yet he
20:09longed for his first friend and often spoke about him. How I would like to see him again. He said.
20:18Years went over and the giant grew very old and frail. He could not play about any more. So he sat in a
20:28huge armchair and watched the children play their games and admired his garden. I have so many beautiful flowers. He said.
20:38But the children are the most beautiful flowers. He said. But the children are the most beautiful flowers of all.
20:45One winter morning he looked out of his window as he was dressing. He did not hate the winter now. For he knew that it was
20:55merely the spring asleep and that the flowers were resting. Suddenly he rubbed his eyes in wonder. And looked and looked. It was certainly a marvellous sight. In the furthest corner of the garden was a tree quite covered in lovely white blossoms. Its branches were golden and silver fruit hung down.
21:24And underneath stood the little boy that he had loved. Downstairs ran the giant in great joy and out into the garden. He hasted across the grass and came near to the child. And when he came quite close his face grew red and angry. And he said.
21:49Who hath dared to wound thee? For on the palms of the child's hands were the prince of two nails and the prince of two nails on his feet.
22:06Who hath dared to wound thee? Who hath dared to wound thee? cried the giant. Tell me that I may take my big sword and slay him.
22:15Nay, answered the child. Nay, answered the child. But these are wounds of love.
22:20Who art thou? said the giant. And a strange oar fell. And he felt it. And he knelt before the child. And the child smiled at the giant and said.
22:36You let me play in your... You let me play once in your garden. Today you shall come with me to my garden. Which is paradise.
22:47And then the children ran in the afternoon. And found the giant laying dead onto the tree. Covered in a white blossom.
22:59Well, that was a bit of a morbid ending, wasn't it, baby? I was happy about the boy returning. I didn't realise that it was Jesus.
23:18Anyway, I hope that story has helped you. Relax, baby. I feel a little deflated. We're gonna have some really weird dreams tonight.
23:41Well, I think we should try and get some sleep now on that note. Yeah. Good night, baby.
24:03Sweet dreams.
