00:17Obviously, it was a disappointing two weeks for us, but we had a couple of days now to reflect and I think the important thing now is to give all our energy into the white ball team.
00:31We've been playing a lot of good white ball cricket.
00:34A couple of new faces, not new faces, but fresh energy into the squad now with Virat and Rohit and them coming back.
00:42We are excited for the next couple of weeks now with playing white ball cricket.
00:48Coach, of course we are now building up for the T20 World Cup.
00:52That is a really, really exciting event right now.
00:55In the middle of it, at a 50-over series, how are you going to do it?
01:00Do you want to use this as preparation for the T20 World Cup?

01:06Look, I mean, preparations for the T20 World Cup is one thing, but I think for me the focus is every time you put your Indian jersey on, you are representing the country.
01:16And you are representing a lot of people.
01:19The fans standing outside the gate, you know, supporting us and waving us and cheering us on.
01:26So for me, preparation is one thing, but for me it is playing good cricket for all the cricket lovers there and the cricket supporters.
01:33So, you know, I think that would be the focus is to bring a bit of momentum back into the Indian dressing room after the disappointing two weeks.
01:44And by that, it is to put all other thoughts aside and just play good solid white ball cricket starting in today's time.
02:03Look, my department is the bowling. I'm not really, well I don't get involved in the selection and stuff like that.
02:09Leave that up to Gautam and the selectors and the captain. So, yeah, I can't comment on that.

02:51we're practicing under under lights tonight so for us that will give a nice

03:23think the discussions will will happen tonight in terms of what combination they
03:27look to start off with so yeah just have to wait and see after training
03:33I think the the best is for the medical to to give that I spoke to a shootman
03:45two days ago just to check in with him and he's recovering well so that's just
03:50pleasing to hear she has also started easy rehab which is great so yeah we're
03:57looking forward to to welcome them back into the squad and the good thing is that
04:02they they're healthy and you know they're starting their preparation and
04:04their way back into the team
04:27look it's a it's a change of color by clothing and it's a change of
04:32ball which is it always brings a different energy but I feel you know the
04:37South African team they have that momentum with them and a confident pro to
04:41your team is a dangerous team so for us you know it will be important to to
04:46start well with us to play you know good cricket over the next week or two
04:51because they're here to to win and you know luckily we've got some good
04:56experience it's not it's not in a team and yeah for us it's now focus for the
05:02next two days give ourselves the best opportunity to prepare well and then go
05:08out there and put the last couple of weeks behind us and really focus on on
05:12playing solid cricket

05:33Breivis, Brijavis, Adam Markram how those guys play the whiteboard cricket as aggressive brand of cricket they are playing so it's going to be a good test to see how they handle the pressure how how they
05:57pressure how they you know play in their situations or the opportunities that
06:03they're going to be given you know how they handle those opportunities in those situations
06:08and and grow from there you know i think it's good for us to to to give our bowling unit
06:13some experience it's good for us to see how they can bowl to death in that middle face
06:18you know how we can take wickets because at the end of the day and white ball cricket you want
06:22you want to be taking wickets and strike bowlers that can do that so i'm excited for them to to
06:28get a good run this uh this the series and you know we'll have to to get them ready because it's
06:33going to be a tough one
06:47sure you know they they're quality players um as long as they they they're happy to
06:52you know put the hard work in and the fitness i've always believed in the experience and um
06:59you know to have that that experience you can't you don't find that anywhere you know they've won
07:03trophies they know how to play big tournaments so for sure you know if it's um if they mentally and
07:08physically feel that their bodies can do that i mean it's still a long way away you know the world
07:13cup uh by all means you know i've played many games against them so you know i've had sleepless nights
07:19bowling to them so i know what as a bowler what what goes through your preparation um playing against
07:25them so for me um yeah you know definitely definitely on board with that
07:39the main focus is to um play good cricket the main focus will for us is to just do the basics
07:46well in white ball cricket it's a quick turnaround from from from from the red ball to the white
07:51ball we've got two days of preparation so yeah i'll be focusing on on on really identifying
07:58what is going to be key at this venue uh and then for us to to be able to execute that
08:04i don't know yet uh i've been told just now when i walk past that uh it's a different kind of
08:16soil so uh at this moment i can't give you that in that answer
08:27so what is the first part
08:36like i said we we'll have to they i'm pretty sure they'll discuss the combinations
08:40um but it's great to have him here he's been a quality player for a number of years and you know
08:46if he gets his opportunity i'm pretty sure he'll do the country very proud
08:59yeah the pitch like i said it's it's a different laid surface under as my understanding speaking to
09:04the curator um not quite sure what to what to expect at the moment as we only arrived uh um yesterday
09:12afternoon so i think after after tonight we'll have a better understanding of you know what the climate
09:18is going to do and how the surface is going to play
