00:00Deep in the heart of the Whispering Woods, where sunbeams danced like glitter and streams

00:08sang lullabies, lived a troll named Barnaby.

00:13Now, Barnaby wasn't just any troll, he was the grumpiest troll in the entire forest.

00:20His eyebrows were permanently furrowed into a V-shape, and his favourite sound was the

00:28sound of complete and utter silence.

00:31He lived under a rickety old bridge, and his only hobby was collecting smooth grey stones,

00:40which he thought were much more sensible than giggling squirrels or chirping birds.

00:47One sunny afternoon, as Barnaby was trying to nap, a tiny shimmering light zipped past his nose.

00:57It giggled, Barnaby's eye snapped open, the giggling sound was like tiny bells, and it

01:05was coming from a little fairy fluttering right in front of him.

01:10She had wings like dragonfly wings, a dress made of flower petals, and her laughter seemed

01:17to make the air sparkle.

01:19Hello, she chimed, my name is Pip, the giggle fairy, what's yours?

01:27Barnaby grumbled, I'm Barnaby, and I'm trying to be grumpy in peace.

01:34Pip tilted her head.

01:36Grumpy, why would anyone want to be grumpy?

01:40It's so much more fun to laugh.

01:42She then told a silly joke about a mushroom who could unt get into a party because there

01:52Pip burst into a fit of giggles, but Barnaby just stared.

02:20He supposed it did look a bit like a sheep, but he just shrugged.

02:25For the next few days, Pip followed Barnaby everywhere.

02:43Barnaby tried his best to ignore her, but something strange was happening.

04:27They taught him how to play hide-and-seek among the giant ferns and how to tell stories under

04:35He learned that sharing a laugh with friends was much more wonderful than collecting silent,

04:43grey stones.

04:45His bridge was no longer a place for grumpy naps.

04:50It became the best spot in the woods for parties, where Pip's tinkling giggle mixed with Barnaby's

04:58booming laugh.

04:59He was still Barnaby the Troll, but he was no longer grumpy.

05:05He was Barnaby the Friend, and he had learned the most wonderful secret of all, that a little

05:14bit of laughter and a good friend can change even the grumpiest heart, making it sunny and

05:21warm forever.
