00:00In a tiny cottage nestled among the roots of an old oak tree lived a fairy named Pip.
00:09Pip wasn't like other fairies who tended to flowers or danced on moonbeams.
00:16Pip's special talent was painting, but not on canvas.
00:21Pip painted the invisible things, like the scent of rain, the sound of a lullaby, and her favourite of all, the wind.
00:33One grey afternoon, a persistent drizzle washed over the land.
00:39In a nearby house, two children, Lily and Tom, pressed their noses against the windowpane, their faces long with disappointment.
00:51Their picnic was cancelled, their plans to play in the park washed away.
00:57This is the gloomiest day ever, sighed Lily, watching a fat raindrop race, another down the glass.
01:06From her oak root cottage, Pip saw their sad faces and felt a little pang in her own heart.
01:14She hated seeing children unhappy.
01:18The rain is good for the flowers, she chirped to her ladybug friend, Lulu, but it's not so good for children's spirits.
01:29An idea, bright and sparkly, popped into her head.
01:35Lulu, fetch my palettes.
01:38We have a masterpiece to create.
01:41Pip gathered her special paints, made from crushed sunlight, powdered rainbows, and the morning dew.
01:50Each colour held a feeling.
01:54Sunny yellow for happiness, soft blue for calm, and shimmery gold for pure joy.
02:01With her tiny brushes made from hummingbird feathers, she flew out into the damp air, zipping and twirling under the shelter of large leaves.
02:14She found a strong gust of wind whistling past the children's window.
02:19Hold still, you blustery fellow.
02:23She giggled and began to paint.
02:26With a flick of her wrist, she dabbed the wind with streaks of sunny yellow.
02:33With a swoosh, she added swirls of shimmery gold.
02:38She mixed in a little bit of sky blue and a touch of rose petal pink, creating a magical, sparkling tapestry that rode on the air currents.
02:49Inside, Lily and Tom were about to turn away from the window when something caught their eye.
02:58A glimmer of gold danced past the glass, followed by a swirl of yellow.
03:05What was that? Tom asked, his eyes wide.
03:09Then came another gust, this one filled with a rainbow of shimmering sparkles, twisting and turning in the grey air.
03:19It looked as though someone had thrown a handful of jewels into the wind.
03:25The children stared, mesmerised.
03:29The gloomy garden was suddenly alive with colour.
03:33The wind, now a sparkling river of light, rustled the leaves, making them glitter.
03:42It brushed against the window, leaving behind a faint dusting of gold.
03:47Lily and Tom forgot all about their cancelled picnic.
03:53They laughed and pointed, their faces lit up by the magical display.
04:00They even started to imagine what the colours might feel like.
04:05The yellow must feel warm like sunshine, said Lily, and the blue must feel cool like the sea, added Tom.
04:16From her perch on a branch, Pip watched them, her heart full.
04:22The rain was still falling, but the gloom was gone, replaced by wonder and joy.
04:28She had painted the wind, and in doing so, had painted smiles on the children's faces.
04:36It was a beautiful reminder that even on the rainiest, greyest of days,
04:43a little bit of creativity can bring colour and light into the world.
04:48You just have to know where to look, or in Pip's case, where to paint.
04:54See you next time.
