00:00Hey everyone, welcome back to Victor Explains.
00:13So, if you're trying to open a text file or a notepad file on your Windows 11 computer and suddenly you see this message,
00:20Package Failed Updates, Dependency or Conflict Validation, don't worry, it's a pretty common issue, and I'll walk you through exactly how to fix it.
00:28When that error message appears, just click OK to close it.
00:32Then, open your Settings app.
00:37Once you're in, go to Apps, and then select Apps Features or Installed Apps, depending on your Windows version.
00:45Now, find the app that's causing the problem, or simply type Notepad in the search bar if that's where the issue showed up.
00:52When you see it, click on the three dots next to it and choose Advanced Options.
00:58Next, scroll down a bit and click Repair.
01:03This will attempt to fix any missing or corrupted files without deleting your data.
01:08Once that's done, click Reset as well to completely refresh the app and remove any lingering glitches.
01:14After that, go ahead and open your text file again.
01:19In most cases, the error will be gone, and your Notepad file should open normally, just like before.
01:26And that's it, quick and simple.
