00:00So what was it like to see the movie after acting opposite like tennis balls and stand-ins and other?
00:08I leaned over to my missus and I was like,
00:11there was no water underneath that boat when we shot this.
00:16And I'm questioning whether we did go out on the water because it looked so real.
00:21You know, the dinosaurs, I know there were no dinosaurs there, I can vouch for that.
00:24But the boat work, the VFX and everything was incredible.
00:30And, you know, when you're making it, it doesn't feel that kind of incredible often and it doesn't feel that real.
00:38You know, emotionally you feel real and you're in this right place.
00:41In your left brain or right brain, one side you've got the emotional state of being and you're in it.
00:46But the other side of it, you're trying to hit your marks, you're making sure you're doing everything properly.
00:50And you're aware, like, I'm in a studio in North London, you know.
00:56And other times I'll be like, I'm on a boat on a gimbal in the middle of Malta.
01:02So you're kind of aware of kind of how absurd it is, what you're doing.
01:07And then when you watch it, it is not in the slightest bit absurd.
01:11It's incredible.
01:12And it's movie magic.
01:14And that's kind of the joy of the collaboration of this process.
01:17It's like, you know, they need me to go and do my bit, however large or small it is in whatever role it is.
01:23And, you know, play my part in the narrative to support the lead characters and everything like that.
01:28And all of the characters, but then we pass the baton and it goes into post-production.
01:34And all of these incredible artists take it and then it becomes the sum of all of its parts.
01:42And that is what's so amazing about seeing it, you know.
01:46So, yeah, I see what I did, but what I did is a small part of it.
01:50And it's amazing and a privilege to work with all of these amazing artists.
01:55And what was your relationship like with the Jurassic Park films?
01:58And what do you think the fans will appreciate about this movie?
02:03Well, when I was a kid, I loved them.
02:05When I was, before I had kids, I still watched them, even as an adult.
02:09And when I had kids, I would just go and I'd buy all the toys.
02:12I've been buying all the toys for years.
02:13All of my nephews and nieces and kids love them.
02:15So, the amount of, I think I bankrolled this movie with the amount of toys I bought over the years.
02:21And I'm probably going to bankroll it buying my Lego pieces as well for my kids this Christmas.
02:25But now, yeah, to become a part of it, you know, I don't know.
02:32It doesn't really feel real, does it?
02:34You know what I mean?
02:34It's like, but it's amazing.
02:36It's amazing.
02:37I don't know.
02:38It's a privilege that's not lost on me.
02:40But at the same time, I understand, like, it's all kind of smoke and mirrors as well.
02:45And, you know, it's like, it is what it is.
02:47The movie's you guys now.
02:48It's not mine anymore.
02:50You know?
02:50The shoot was mine.
02:52Now the movie's yours.
