00:00Well, now we're really socially distancing, aren't we Hoda? Well, you know, it's very unusual. I'm
00:04actually home. I'm in my basement right now. Savannah Guthrie anchored the Wednesday telecast
00:10of NBC's Today from home amid coronavirus concerns. The morning show host made the announcement
00:15she'd be broadcasting from home on Tuesday night after coming down with what she described on
00:19social media as a mild sore throat and runny nose. And you know me, I like to come rain or shine
00:24and spread my germs around, but we don't do that anymore. We stay home, we keep everybody
00:29safe. NBC News president Noah Oppenheim alerted staff of the news that Guthrie would work from
00:34home in a Tuesday memo, saying the move would, quote, model the hypervigilance we're asking for
00:38right now and do just that. This all comes after it was confirmed on Monday that a Today staffer
00:43tested positive for the coronavirus. Hosts Craig Melvin and Al Roker had already set out Monday
00:48and Tuesday's telecast, the latter offering a weather update from his kitchen, as he did again today.
00:53This show's been around a long time, 60-something years, but never has this happened before. We've
00:58got Hoda in our studio. Al and I are working at home. For more on this story and the latest updates,
01:04head to THR.com. Until next time, for The Hollywood Reporter News, I'm Tiffany Taylor.
