The streamer has set a Dec. 29 premiere date for 'The Book of Boba Fett,' a spinoff of The Mandalorian that follows the bounty hunter, played by Temuera Morrison.

00:00Disney Plus has officially set a premiere date for its Mandalorian spin-off.

00:05Expanding its Star Wars universe, the streamer announced that The Book of Boba Fett, which

00:09follows The Bounty Hunter, played by Tumura Morrison, is set to premiere on Disney Plus

00:14December 29th.

00:15Along with the announcement, the streamer also released key art for the series.

00:19The show was first teased in a post-credits scene in The Mandalorian's second season

00:23finale.

00:24The Book of Boba Fett will center on the fan-favorite character and mercenary Fennec

00:28Shan, played by Ming-Na Wen, and how they navigate the galaxy's underworld when they

00:32return to Tatooine and stake a claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt.

00:37The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni are also serving as EPs

00:42on the series.

00:43The Book of Boba Fett will be the second live-action Star Wars series to debut on Disney Plus.

00:49The streamer also has a limited series centered on Obi-Wan Kenobi, played by Ewan McGregor

00:53in the works, along with two other Mandalorian spin-offs.

00:57In total, Disney plans to air 11 Star Wars series in the next several years.
