00:00We've got updates on the legal battle of Tay-K and A$AP Rocky, plus we know why Future wasn't able to help his bodyguard after he got sucker punched.
00:15Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life with your hip-hop roundup, starting with Bow Wow, because as if anyone cares, he felt the need to remind a crowd at 1145 Lounge that he dated Ciara first.
00:26The rapper gave his little reminder while performing Like You, a song featuring Ciara that they made while dating.
00:32So basically anyone in that club who's old enough to remember that song probably remembers their two-year fling as well, and Sha didn't need to call attention to it.
00:41Since making the remark, he's been being dragged across social media, and Ciara has yet to comment on the situation.
00:47But alright, moving on to Tay-K, because a man he allegedly robbed in May of 2017 has testified against him and said the rapper nearly killed him.
00:55The man, Skip Pepe, described the entire situation and claimed that he was 100% sure that Tay-K was the man behind the attack.
01:03However, Tay-K's defense presented two photographs timestamped with the date of the alleged robbery, showing that despite Skip's claims, Tay-K was among four people sitting in a hot tub.
01:13We'll keep you updated as the case continues throughout the week.
01:15But okay, to this crazy ASAP Rocky case, because TMZ reports the guy that attacked and harassed Rocky and crew won't be charged.
01:23Adding to this, the site reports that according to Swedish law, if Rocky is charged and found not guilty,
01:29the country could be liable for all the money he lost as a result of this incarceration and trial.
01:35This could possibly end, meaning the country is paying out millions to the rapper, as he's already had to cancel 12 shows and is booked for seven more in the month of September.
01:45ASAP Rocky's mother recently spoke out about the situation and says even though she doesn't want to say it, race is likely a factor in this case.
01:52Let me ask you most importantly, have you spoken to your son?
01:55Only once.
01:55Only once, and how long ago was that?
01:57Five days ago.
01:59Five days ago?
01:59How did he sound?
02:01How is he doing?
02:02He sound okay.
02:03He sound all right, I mean, under the circumstances, but he want to come home.
02:09Of course.
02:09What can we do?
02:10What can the people do?
02:11What can be done to help yourself?
02:14I don't know.
02:14That's why, you know, we thinking that if the president himself got involved, you know, and contacted who he did, if that ain't help, you know, what will help?
02:26You think Sweden has a vendetta against rappers or successful black men or black men in general?
02:32Or what do you think is going on here?
02:36I don't want to call the race car.
02:38But that's what it's looking like, you know, so if they walk like a duck and they quack like a duck, then it's a duck.
02:50Moving on to Future because A$AP Rocky's situation seems to have influenced the way he handled being arrested in Ibiza.
02:56TMZ reports the rapper and his crew were victims to what Future says was a full-on racist attack.
03:02The rapper was ready to throw down, but his team pulled him away because they didn't want him to end up in a Spanish jail facing a Rocky-type situation.
03:11But all right, guys, hit the sub, like, and bell button.
