00:02Happy Thanksgiving from the President of the United States.

00:06Happy Thanksgiving from a grateful nation.

00:11I know all of you saw some of the news yesterday of two National Guardsmen targeted, ambushed

00:16in Washington, D.C.

00:18And they remain in our prayers, and I hope in yours.

00:23And they are a reminder, like you, of the bravery and the selflessness of Americans

00:30who put it all on the line in the prime of their life to do dangerous things on behalf

00:35of the American people, many of which they'll never meet.

00:37Whether it's in our nation's capital, walking patrol, or whether it's in our nation's hemisphere,

00:45out at sea, interdicting cartels, defending the American people.

00:51We are grateful for you.

00:53You know, I work in a Pentagon with a lot of high-ranking folks who are great Americans

00:59as well.

01:00And all of us, we work for you.

01:04We work for you to enable you to be the most ready, most capable, most lethal warfighters

01:09that our nation needs.

01:12So on this Thanksgiving, on behalf of my wife and I, Jennifer, who's here with me as well

01:17and will meet many of you, we simply say thank you.

01:22Our deepest gratitude.

01:24And we renew how committed we are to you and your families.

01:28So to Almighty God, we pray today, this Thanksgiving, implore your protection and favor upon this

01:36crew, upon this ship, upon this battle group, and all men and women deployed around our hemisphere
