00:00I'm okay, you know, I was a little bit of adrenaline rush.
00:07Well, I was headed to get lunch, and I got up to 17th and I Street and was going to take a right.
00:19And as soon as I got up to 17th and I Street, we heard, like, rapid gunshots.
00:24Uh, so myself and other people started to run back down I Street.
00:32There were also, like, a UPS truck that, like, was speeding by, too.
00:37Uh, and we got about halfway down, um, I Street towards, uh, 18th.
00:45And we stopped because everything was quiet.
00:48So we thought maybe it was construction going on, though it certainly didn't sound like that.
00:53But then we started walking back and then we heard more gunfire.
00:59So we ran down the street, uh, and then about a minute later, we still weren't completely convinced that it was gunfire.
01:07So I walked back to the corner and, you know, I didn't see, I only saw one police car there.
01:13So I figured it couldn't be anything.
01:15So I walked up and I saw, um, they had a person pinned on the ground yelling at him to stay down.
01:24Uh, and there was, uh, broken glass in the bus stop.
01:28Uh, and then they moved, like, it was some sort of construction vehicle or something along those lines.
01:34And they moved the vehicle and, uh, that's when we saw, um, two National Guards, uh, on the ground and one they were trying to resuscitate.
01:46Uh, and then at that point, it was still even a couple of minutes before there was any response.
01:51Uh, like, they didn't have anything closed off, uh, and it was kind of surreal, to be honest with you.
01:58Uh, and it took us a couple of minutes to realize, like, how serious the situation was.
02:03How did they see it unfolded?
02:06I just remember, uh, seeing, like, hearing them, uh, not really, didn't see blood.
02:16You know, I think it was a little bit too far for that being across the street.
02:20However, we did hear them, like, working on somebody and, like, they were doing, they were doing chest compressions on, uh, one of the National Guard men.
02:29And then there was another one that was on the ground that looked like he was a little bit closer to the suspect.
02:35People were saying the same thing with that gunshot.
02:40Uh, a lot of the security people.
02:42I mean, it was probably, like, three minutes or so before, like, you know, like, you know, a couple showed up here and there.
02:50And then, you know, probably three or four minutes before, like, there was even a major response.
02:56You know, then a lot of people started coming, the EMTs came, and, uh, yeah, that's pretty much how it happened.
03:10Well, I mean, I feel terrible for the National Guard men.
03:13I mean, they were ordered to be here.
03:15They didn't ask for anything like this.
03:17Um, you know, and I'm sure a lot of them would rather not be here to begin with.
03:22And, you know, I did see a couple of guardsmen hugging each other that were very, very upset.
03:28And, you know, it's hard to see that.
03:30You know, um, you know, one of their, uh, colleagues, I guess, was, you know, injured so badly.
03:36I mean, it's going to bring a narrative, and I am a little bit concerned that, you know, this city is going to have much more of a military presence and much more of a police presence.
04:06I mean, it's...
04:08I'm sorry.
04:09...the state new cleaning system.
04:10I'll give you the tent.
04:11I don't let it Roy me.
04:12I don't want to leave it inside.
04:14There being a tent on the 안 on the ground.
04:15I don't want to leave it yet.
04:16I don't want to leave a tent.
04:17I don't want to leave it inside.
04:18I don't want to leave it.
04:20I don't want to leave it to Kelly.
04:21I don't want to leave it to Kellyadowщее than that's it.
04:22I opted forlia's Lilly Street of functions and I think that's it.
04:25I don't want to leave it to them because I think it's so nice.
04:26I don't like myself because I've got a little bit of my audience here.
04:28I don't want to leave it to是SNL and it's not aentar.
