00:00How much money does the Muslim Brotherhood have, and where does it get it from?
00:05So I don't know how much they collect, and I imagine it's done by individual chapters,
00:10but certainly in the United States there would be a means to collect money for these chapters.
00:17If they're not designated, obviously, as a terrorist organization, then there shouldn't be any restriction.
00:22If they are, then that would be material support to a terrorist organization,
00:27which in and of itself could be considered a crime, could get severe restrictions, penalties, financial penalties,
00:35and essentially that group could be banned from using the banking system, for example,
00:42or banned from travel and potentially have a Department of Justice investigation opened on them.
00:47So the designation, although it doesn't include the authorized use of military force from a State Department designation,
00:55it does carry a lot of consequences financially and diplomatically.
