00:50Do jego świata i jego zrówną,
00:52i hidden gems that make the city so special.
00:56Exploring London's famous areas,
00:59you can really feel the history around you.
01:02Walking on the cobbled streets of London
01:04really does take you back on time.
01:06The city might now be super vibrant,
01:09but think back then,
01:10it was a whole different world.
01:12And that mix of old and new
01:14is what makes London so special.
01:17It's all part of its charm.
01:19Tucked away in the heart of Covent Garden
01:22is Bridget's Bakery.
01:24And it's here, inside this cosy cafe,
01:27that I'm meeting Matthew,
01:28one of the bakery's expert tour guides.
01:31Known for its cakes and classic afternoon tea,
01:34Bridget's Bakery has taken this tradition a step further,
01:37turning it into a moving experience.
01:40It's a fun twist on a London classic.
01:43Okay, so Lily, we've got our lovely afternoon tea selection here.
01:46You might see a few of the traditional sort of sandwiches,
01:49as well as our lovely sweet treats on top.
01:51And then later we have our scones too,
01:53to which obviously people can have cream, jam.
01:56You can have it as a massive dollop on top,
01:58mix it all up as long as you enjoy it.
02:00That's all that matters.
02:01As the tour gets underway,
02:02the bus follows a route packed
02:04with some of London's most iconic sights.
02:07The perfect mix of great food and classic city views.
02:11So we're actually passing Trafalgar Square,
02:14Nelson's Column,
02:15and at the base you've got those four iconic lion statues.
02:19Also as we're heading down Whitehall,
02:21we'll be heading past 10 Downing Street.
02:23Of course that's where the Prime Minister lives.
02:25So we'll be heading into Parliament Square,
02:27where of course you've got the House of Parliament,
02:29and you've got the Elizabeth Tower,
02:31which contains Big Ben.
02:33Now normally people think the tower itself,
02:35with the clock face on the sides,
02:37that that's Big Ben.
02:39I'm afraid not.
02:40Big Ben is the name of the bell inside the tower.
02:45We'll be heading past Buckingham Palace,
02:47that is the most famed royal residence around the world.
02:51And now we have our king there currently.
02:53We have our king there as well.
02:55You can normally tell via the flag
02:57on top of Buckingham Palace if he's in residence.
02:59So fingers crossed whenever you turn up
03:01you might be able to see if he's in residence or not.
03:05Thank you so much, Matthew, for today.
03:08Thank you ever so much for coming.
03:09We're glad to have you.
03:10I've had so much fun.
03:11Brilliant. Take care.
03:14Next, I'm checking into my hotel
03:16for my stay here in the city.
03:18The Londoner is a super boutique hotel
03:20tucked just off Leicester Square.
03:22It's the perfect place to call home
03:24while exploring the city.
03:26The hotel's penthouse and signature suites
03:28are beautifully designed,
03:30featuring generous living areas
03:32and breathtaking city views.
03:34Today, I'm unwinding with a relaxing spa session
03:38at The Retreat, the hotel's wellness space.
03:41It features treatments that focus on calming the mind
03:44and refreshing the skin.
03:46It's the kind of place where you can switch off completely,
03:49even if it's just for a short session.
03:52Next door is Refuel, a superfood and wellness bar,
03:56serving nutritious dishes and smoothies.
03:59It's the ideal spot to recharge after a treatment.
04:02But for something a little more indulgent,
04:05I'm ending my day at Wickham's,
04:08the hotel's signature restaurant,
04:10known for its beautifully styled interior
04:12and delicious Mediterranean dishes.
04:14A truly delicious end to my first day in the city.
04:18The next day, I'm exploring London in a true British icon,
04:23the Mini.
04:25Behind the wheel is Matt Flynn,
04:27a born and bred Londoner who knows every shortcut
04:31and story this city has to offer.
04:33The ideal guide for a drive through London's busy streets.
04:37I've toured London's iconic spots in a bus.
04:41Now it's time to visit some of its hidden gems in a classic car.
04:45The first stop on our big adventure is Leek Street Archers,
04:49a graffiti hub located underneath Waterloo train station.
04:53So welcome to the Leek Street Archers.
04:55This is London's only legal graffiti site.
04:58I'm going to encourage you to go and have a walk up and down,
05:01take these markers, leave your own graffiti tag.
05:04Basically all the artwork you see here changes about every two weeks.
05:08An artist will come down, spray something.
05:10Someone else will come down two weeks later, cover it completely.
05:13So the artwork is constantly changing.
05:15So go and leave your mark.
05:16Make it significant, see what you can do.
05:19It will be staying forever.
05:21Once a quiet underpass,
05:24this tunnel has become one of London's most colourful spots.
05:28Stretching nearly 300 metres,
05:31it's completely open to the public.
05:33Artists come here day and night to paint and experiment.
05:37Even world famous artists like Banksy have left their mark.
05:41And today I get to leave mine on the city I love.
05:45Back in the mini, we head out into the city again.
05:49London never sits still and neither do we.
05:52Our next stop takes us south of the river.
05:54We're on our way to one of the city's best loved food markets.
05:58Borough Market.
06:00So welcome to Borough Market.
06:02This is the oldest market in London.
06:04It's been stood here for over a thousand years.
06:06It's now a world famous farmer's market with food coming from all over the world.
06:11It has to be of the highest possible quality.
06:13Thousands of tourists come from all over the world to sample the food here.
06:16Walking through Borough Market is one of my favourite ways to explore London.
06:22It's lively, colourful and full of things you can't resist trying.
06:27There's everything here from olive oil and cheeses to fruit and vegetables.
06:33It's truly a feast for the senses.
06:36After exploring the market, we're back on the road again, taking in more of the city.
06:41Travelling through this big city in a tiny car really gives you a different view of London.
06:47It's been an epic experience.
06:49But for now, my tour with Matt has come to an end.
06:52Next up on my journey, I'm heading to one of London's most elegant walkways.
06:57A place of beautiful window displays and refined luxury.
07:02Here to tell me more about this historic spot is luxury retail expert, Trupti Shah.
07:07Welcome to Burlington Arcade.
07:09This is a place filled with history.
07:11We are in the heart of Mayfair and there's 206 years of history that we're going to try and go through.
07:17Burlington Arcade stretches nearly 200 metres
07:21and houses around 40 shops.
07:24These vintage stores stock everything from antique jewellery and bespoke fashion
07:29to rare watches and modern British perfumery.
07:32N Peel London has been part of Burlington Arcade for almost 90 years.
07:38Known for its fine cashmere, it's one of the arcade's longest standing names.
07:43Our next stop takes us into the world of vintage watches.
07:47Burlington Arcade is home to more than 3000 vintage Rolex timepieces, making it one of the city's most impressive collections.
07:57Across the walkway is another luxury knitwear boutique, full of heritage inspired clothing.
08:02This is a family owned business, very special.
08:05They are 228 years old.
08:08Everything is made in Scotland.
08:10And they also have a royal warrant from His Majesty King Charles.
08:16The royal connection is something that runs throughout the arcade.
08:20And when it comes to designer luggage, this next store fits right in.
08:25Founded in 1897, Globetrotter donates part of its profits to charities supported by the king.
08:32After a fantastic royal infused tour.
08:35I love it!
08:37Full of fragrances and more.
08:39Tripti and I settle down for a coffee in the Arcade's Boutique Café.
08:44The perfect place to end our tour.
08:47As my journey continues, I'm visiting C'est La Vie London, a stylish restaurant high above the city.
08:56This dining spot is known for its bold Asian flavours and views of the capital.
09:03I'm heading into their kitchen for a cooking masterclass with one of their executive chefs.
09:08So what are we making here?
09:10Oh, we make Wagyu Gyoza.
09:13Yeah.
09:14Let's do it.
09:15They are definitely my favourite.
09:17Wagyu Gyoza are a gourmet variation of the traditional Japanese dumpling filled with marbled beef.
09:24Ray shows me how to fill and seal the dumplings in the traditional way.
09:28Good idea.
09:29A little bit pinch.
09:31Another pinch.
09:33Another one.
09:35Now it's my turn to give it a go.
09:37So, I'll pick up one of these very delicate little sheets.
09:42Is that one?
09:43Okay.
09:44I put it in my hand.
09:45Wrapping around the side.
09:47And now it's all about the folding.
09:51Folding dumplings looks easy, but there's a real technique to getting it just right.
09:56With my quick training complete, it's time to try some flavours for myself.
10:01There you go.
10:02Enjoy a good selection of dishes that we have from C'est La Vie London.
10:05Delicious.
10:06And this looks extremely diverse for London.
10:09People kind of come to London, they're expecting that quintessentially British, but actually now this is British cuisine.
10:15This is British, yes.
10:16From our side, we've had a huge history of using spice across our cuisine for a number of years.
10:21And also one of the things we have looked at is to use as much British produce as we can with that accent of Asian influence as well, which really from our side, really say where C'est La Vie comes from.
10:32The food here is exceptional, beautifully presented and full of flavour.
10:37You can taste the mix of British and Asian ingredients.
10:41A style that perfectly reflects the city's diversity.
10:44After an incredible experience, it's time to see the city from a different perspective.
10:53I'm grabbing an iconic black cab to my final destination.
10:59There are so many different modes of transport in London.
11:02I can't decide which one's my favourite.
11:04But the next one is definitely a little surprise.
11:07Trapti from the Burlington Arcade has invited me to take a flight over the city.
11:13The London heliport is owned by the Reuben brothers, who also own the arcade.
11:18Today, we're flying high above London.
11:21A once in a lifetime experience, shared with a new friend.
11:26And we can't help but take a few snaps to savour the moment.
11:30London looks absolutely breathtaking from up here.
11:33Its famous landmarks and the Thames River stretch out endlessly.
11:38A view that reminds you just how big this city really is.
11:43From whizzing around the city in a Mini Cooper,
11:46to exploring the sights of London from the skies.
11:49I can honestly say this trip has been unforgettable.
11:53I can't wait for the next adventure.
