00:17und erlebe ich die Momenten,
00:19die jeden destination nicht vergessen.
00:26Heute gehe ich von Katar,
00:28von Katar,
00:29zu einer der Welt's most iconicen Stadt,
00:31mein Country of Origin.
00:33Ich bin hier in London,
00:35ein Ort,
00:36für ihre riche Geschichte,
00:37famousen Landmarks
00:39und klassisch-Britisch-Style.
00:41Hallo und willkommen zu London.
00:43In dieser Episode,
00:44ich werde den Charm
00:46von England's Kapitel,
00:48von ihren famousen Streets und Shoppen,
00:50zu ihren incredibleen Food
00:52und hidden Gems,
00:53das macht die Stadt so special.
00:55Exploring London's famous areas,
00:58you can really feel the history around you.
01:01Walking on the cobbled streets of London
01:03really does take you back on time.
01:06The city might now be super vibrant,
01:08but think back then,
01:10it was a whole different world.
01:12And that mix of old and new
01:14is what makes London so special.
01:16It's all part of its charm.
01:19Tucked away in the heart of Covent Garden
01:22is Bridget's Bakery.
01:24And it's here,
01:25inside this cosy cafe,
01:27that I'm meeting Matthew,
01:28one of the bakery's expert tour guides.
01:31Known for its cakes
01:32and classic afternoon tea,
01:34Bridget's Bakery has taken this tradition
01:36a step further,
01:37turning it into a moving experience.
01:40It's a fun twist on a London classic.
01:42Okay, so Lily,
01:43we've got our lovely afternoon tea selection here.
01:46You might see a few of the traditional
01:48sort of sandwiches,
01:49as well as our lovely sweet treats on top.
01:51And then later we have our scones too,
01:53to which obviously people can have cream, jam.
01:56You can have it as a massive dollop on top,
01:58mix it all up,
01:59as long as you enjoy it,
02:00that's all that matters.
02:01As the tour gets underway,
02:03the bus follows a route
02:04packed with some of London's most iconic sights.
02:07The perfect mix of great food
02:09and classic city views.
02:12So we're actually passing Trafalgar Square,
02:14Nelson's Column,
02:16and at the base you've got
02:17those four iconic lion statues.
02:20Also as we're heading down Whitehall,
02:22we'll be heading past 10 Downing Street.
02:24Of course that's where the Prime Minister lives.
02:26So we'll be heading into Parliament Square,
02:28where of course you've got
02:29the House of Parliament,
02:30and you've got the Elizabeth Tower,
02:32which contains Big Ben.
02:34Now normally people think the tower itself,
02:36with the clock face on the sides,
02:38that that's Big Ben.
02:39I'm afraid not.
02:41Big Ben is the name of the bell inside the tower.
02:46We'll be heading past Buckingham Palace,
02:48that is the most famed royal residence
02:50around the world.
02:51And now we have our king there currently?
02:53We have our king there as well.
02:55You can normally tell via the flag
02:57on top of Buckingham Palace,
02:59if he's in residence.
03:00So fingers crossed whenever you turn up,
03:02you might be able to see
03:03if he's in residence or not.
03:06Thank you so much, Matthew, for today.
03:08Thank you ever so much for coming.
03:09We're glad to have you.
03:10I've had so much fun.
03:11Thanks.
03:12Brilliant. Take care.
03:14Next, I'm checking into my hotel
03:16for my stay here in the city.
03:18The Londoner is a super boutique hotel
03:21tucked just off Leicester Square.
03:23It's the perfect place to call home
03:25while exploring the city.
03:26The hotel's penthouse and signature suites
03:29are beautifully designed,
03:31featuring generous living areas
03:33and breathtaking city views.
03:36Today, I'm unwinding
03:37with a relaxing spa session
03:39at The Retreat,
03:40the hotel's wellness space.
03:42It features treatments that focus
03:44on calming the mind
03:45and refreshing the skin.
03:47It's the kind of place
03:48where you can switch off completely,
03:50even if it's just for a short session.
03:53Next door is Refuel,
03:55a superfood and wellness bar,
03:57serving nutritious dishes and smoothies.
04:00It's the ideal spot
04:01to recharge after a treatment.
04:04But for something a little more indulgent,
04:06I'm ending my day at Wickham's,
04:08the hotel's signature restaurant,
04:10known for its beautifully styled interior
04:13and delicious Mediterranean dishes.
04:15A truly delicious end
04:17to my first day in the city.
04:20The next day,
04:21I'm exploring London
04:22in a true British icon,
04:24the Mini.
04:26Behind the wheel is Matt Flynn,
04:28a born and bred Londoner
04:30who knows every shortcut
04:32and story this city has to offer.
04:34The ideal guide
04:36for a drive through London's busy streets.
04:38I've toured London's iconic spots in a bus.
04:42Now it's time to visit
04:43some of its hidden gems in a classic car.
04:46The first stop on our big adventure
04:48is Leek Street Archers,
04:50a graffiti hub
04:51located underneath Waterloo train station.
04:53So welcome to the Leek Street Archers.
04:55This is London's only legal graffiti site.
04:59I'm going to encourage you to go
05:01and have a walk up and down,
05:02take these markers,
05:03leave your own graffiti tag.
05:05Basically all the artwork you see here
05:06changes about every two weeks.
05:08An artist will come down, spray something.
05:10Someone else will come down two weeks later,
05:12cover it completely.
05:13So the artwork is constantly changing.
05:15So go and leave your mark.
05:17Make it significant,
05:18see what you can do.
05:19It will be staying forever.
05:23Once a quiet underpass,
05:25this tunnel has become
05:26one of London's most colourful spots.
05:29Stretching nearly 300 metres,
05:31it's completely open to the public.
05:34artists come here day and night
05:36to paint and experiment.
05:38Even world famous artists like Banksy
05:40have left their mark.
05:42And today I get to leave mine
05:44on the city I love.
05:46Back in the mini,
05:47we head out into the city again.
05:49London never sits still,
05:51and neither do we.
05:53Our next stop takes us south of the river.
05:55We're on our way to one of the city's
05:57best loved food markets,
05:59Borough Market.
06:01So welcome to Borough Market.
06:03This is the oldest market in London.
06:05It's been stood here for over a thousand years.
06:07It's now a world famous farmer's market
06:10with food coming from all over the world.
06:12It has to be of the highest possible quality.
06:14Thousands of tourists come from all over the world
06:16to sample the food here.
06:18Walking through Borough Market
06:20is one of my favourite ways to explore London.
06:23It's lively, colourful,
06:25and full of things you can't resist trying.
06:28There's everything here from olive oil and cheeses
06:31to fruit and vegetables.
06:33It's truly a feast for the senses.
06:36After exploring the market,
06:38we're back on the road again,
06:40taking in more of the city.
06:42Travelling through this big city in a tiny car
06:45really gives you a different view of London.
06:47It's been an epic experience.
06:49But for now, my tour with Matt has come to an end.
06:53Next up on my journey,
06:55I'm heading to one of London's most elegant walkways,
06:58a place of beautiful window displays
07:00and refined luxury.
07:02Here to tell me more about this historic spot
07:05is luxury retail expert, Trupti Shah.
07:08Welcome to Burlington Arcade.
07:09This is a place filled with history.
07:11We are in the heart of Mayfair
07:13and there's 206 years of history
07:15that we're going to try and go to.
07:17Burlington Arcade stretches nearly 200 metres
07:21and houses around 40 shops.
07:24These vintage stores stock everything
07:26from antique jewellery and bespoke fashion
07:29to rare watches and modern British perfumery.
07:32N Peel London has been part of Burlington Arcade
07:36for almost 90 years.
07:38Known for its fine cashmere,
07:40it's one of the arcade's longest standing names.
07:43Our next stop takes us into the world of vintage watches.
07:47Burlington Arcade is home to more than 3,000 vintage Rolex timepieces,
07:52making it one of the city's most impressive collections.
07:56Across the walkway is another luxury knitwear boutique
08:00full of heritage inspired clothing.
08:02This is a family owned business, very special.
08:06They are 228 years old.
08:09Everything is made in Scotland.
08:11And they also have a royal warrant from His Majesty King Charles.
08:17The royal connection is something that runs throughout the arcade.
08:21And when it comes to designer luggage,
08:23this next store fits right in.
08:25Founded in 1897, Globetrotter donates part of its profits
08:30to charities supported by the king.
08:32After a fantastic royal infused tour.
08:35I love it!
08:37Full of fragrances and more.
08:39Tripti and I settle down for a coffee in the Arcade's Boutique Café.
08:44The perfect place to end our tour.
08:50As my journey continues, I'm visiting C'est La Vie London,
08:53a stylish restaurant high above the city.
08:56This dining spot is known for its bold Asian flavours
09:00and views of the capital.
09:03I'm heading into their kitchen for a cooking masterclass
09:06with one of their executive chefs.
09:09So what are we making here?
09:11Oh, we make Wagyu Gyoza.
09:14Yeah.
09:15They are definitely my favourite.
09:17Wagyu Gyoza are a gourmet variation
09:20of the traditional Japanese dumpling filled with marbled beef.
09:24Ray shows me how to fill and seal the dumplings
09:27in the traditional way.
09:29Good idea.
09:30A little bit pinch.
09:32Another pinch.
09:34Another one.
09:36Now it's my turn to give it a go.
09:39So, I'll pick up one of these very delicate little sheets.
09:43Is that one?
09:44OK.
09:45I put it in my hand.
09:46Wrapping around the sides.
09:48And now it's all about the folding.
09:52Folding dumplings looks easy,
09:53but there's a real technique to getting it just right.
09:56With my quick training complete,
09:58it's time to try some flavours for myself.
10:01There you go.
10:02Enjoy a good selection of dishes
10:04that we have from Celleby, London.
10:06Delicious.
10:07And this looks extremely diverse for London.
10:09People kind of come to London,
10:11they're expecting that quintessentially British,
10:13but actually now this is British cuisine.
10:16This is British, yes.
10:17Yes.
10:18From our side, we've had a huge history of using spice
10:20across our cuisine for a number of years.
10:22And also, one of the things we have looked at
10:24is to use as much British produce as we can
10:26with that accent of Asian influence as well,
10:29which really, from our side,
10:31really is where Celleby comes from.
10:32The food here is exceptional.
10:34Beautifully presented and full of flavour.
10:37You can taste the mix of British and Asian ingredients.
10:41A style that perfectly reflects the city's diversity.
10:47After an incredible experience,
10:49it's time to see the city from a different perspective.
10:53I'm grabbing an iconic black cab to my final destination.
10:59There are so many different modes of transport in London,
11:02I can't decide which one's my favourite.
11:04But the next one is definitely a little surprise.
11:09Trapti from the Burlington Arcade
11:11has invited me to take a flight over the city.
11:14The London heliport is owned by the Rubin Brothers,
11:17who also own the arcade.
11:19Today, we're flying high above London.
11:22A once-in-a-lifetime experience,
11:25shared with a new friend.
11:26And we can't help but take a few snaps
11:28to savour the moment.
11:31London looks absolutely breathtaking from up here.
11:34Its famous landmarks and the Thames River
11:37stretch out endlessly.
11:39A view that reminds you just how big this city really is.
11:44From whizzing around the city in a Mini Cooper
11:46to exploring the sights of London from the skies,
11:50I can honestly say this trip has been unforgettable.
11:53I can't wait for the next adventure.
11:55I can't wait for the next adventure.
11:59to view the future.
12:01And I'll see you next week again.
12:02I'm saving my life for the next adventure.
12:03If you know that music is going to be down there in Florida,
12:05you will be stuck here at the city.
12:06I'm saving my life for the next adventure.
12:08And that was it.
12:09I can't wait for the next adventure.
12:11You've been waiting for the next adventure.
