00:00Hello and welcome to this Jane's Weather Update for New South Wales for Thursday.
00:05Things looking fairly clear at the moment over the southeast of the country.
00:08We have a cold outbreak moving through.
00:10Now if you're in northeast parts of New South Wales, you go, what cold outbreak?
00:14It couldn't be more different here.
00:15We have heat wave conditions that are running into the northeast.
00:18So here's our current heat wave.
00:20This is the last of that.
00:21We've got our extreme fire danger all in through here, including Sydney.
00:25But there is a cool change that is on its way in.
00:27So let's have a look at that in action.
00:30Here we have Thursday.
00:31We've got our dry, weak, cool change that comes through.
00:34The only wet weather today is in that far northeast corner.
00:36Now we had the leftovers from the cyclone, all of the moisture from that.
00:40Let's watch what that's going to do.
00:43Pouring across through the interior during the day on Friday, starting to come into the west.
00:47As we move through Friday, there it is into Saturday.
00:50There it is moving across southern parts of the state.
00:54Storms do return to the northeast as we go through the day on Saturday.
00:57By Sunday, there's just the remains of that that are here in that southeastern corner.
01:01So it's Friday, Saturday into Sunday that we see that burst from there.
01:05The next one starts.
01:06Here's our next cold outbreak coming through on Sunday into Monday and then into Tuesday with a low that develops off the coast there.
01:14So we'll have a bit of a cooler temperature burst that comes through as we move across the weekend into early next week.
01:21After that, high pressure moves in and things are looking nice and quiet as we go through the rest of the week.
01:26What might that add up to?
01:27Southern parts of the state, that's where the falls are.
01:3015 to 25 millimetres moving right across the Riverina there into the slopes, just coming up into the central parts and then dissipating.
01:38Risk of storms only in that far northeast corner.
01:40Sydney, 1 to 5 millimetres over the next week, not a lot of wet weather.
01:44So let's have a look at what we're expecting.
01:46The heat is on today.
01:47The cool change is on its way down to 28 for tomorrow.
01:51So it's not cold behind this one.
01:53And then it does jump up again as we go into Saturday.
01:56So there's our little temperature roller coaster.
01:59Sunday's 27, then down to 23 by Monday.
02:02That's that next cold outbreak that comes through.
02:04So we'll be in the low 20s for a couple of days with that.
02:06We're just on the very northern edge of that wet weather fringe.
02:09It's mainly those to the south that see that.
02:12So 1 to 5 millimetres across the next week.
02:14As always, head to Fall Online Weather for the latest.
