00:00Αυτό καινό έπεσε η έφεση του Νικόλα Σαρκοζή για την υπόθεση πυγμαλίου.

00:05Φρανσές τοπκορτ has rejected former French President Nicolas Σαρκοζή's last appeal in the Bigmalian case,

00:13making a final ruling on his sentence for the illegal financing of his failed 2012 presidential campaign.

00:21But even though a six-month prison sentence has been confirmed,

00:24the former president is unlikely to go back to jail.

00:29Instead, it's more likely that he will serve the sentence under some sort of partial house arrest

00:35or with an electronic bracelet, and that will be up to the judge to decide in the coming weeks.

00:42But this ruling adds to Sarkoζή's long list of legal battles.

00:47In September, he was found guilty of criminal conspiracy for allowing his campaign managers

00:51to seek illegal funding from the late Libyan dictator Gaddafi

00:56for his 2007 presidential campaign.

01:00This marked the first time in French modern history that a former head of state actually went to prison.

01:08But after three weeks, he was released and is now preparing to appeal this case next year.

01:16But this is not the first time that the top court has rejected Sarkoζή's last appeal.

01:21In a separate case in December last year, the court made his conviction final

01:26for trying to bribe a judge in exchange for information.

01:30Subsequently, Sarkoζή had to wear an electronic bracelet from February to May of this year.

01:38And for now, his legal battles show no signs of slowing down,

01:42keeping the former president firmly in the spotlight.
