'Inside Out 2' had an out of this world, historic weekend in theaters! We're breaking down the latest box office numbers on today's THR Charts: The Breakdown for Monday, June 17th.

00:03Hi, I'm Tiffany Taylor for The Hollywood Reporter,
00:05and we're breaking down the latest box office numbers
00:07on today's THR Charts The Breakdown for Monday, June 17th.
00:12Riley, how was camp?
00:14It's the apartment!
00:17It was good.
00:18Inside Out 2 debuted well ahead of expectations,
00:21bringing in a massive, historic $155 million.
00:25This marks the second biggest animated movie launch of all time.
00:29Fellow Pixar sequel, Incredibles 2, is the crown holder.
00:32I talked to the cast of the movie at the world premiere,
00:35and star Amy Poehler told me how voicing the emotion Joy has brought her joy.
00:39To be in a film like this means a lot.
00:41It's very hard to be in something that is really good,
00:44that means something and says something,
00:46and that a lot of people see.
00:48You don't always get those three things.
00:51So it's changed me a lot.
00:53As for the rest of the chart,
00:55Bad Boys Ride or Die came in second, its second weekend in theaters.
00:58It brought in another $33 million for a total so far of $112.2 million.
01:05Plus, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is still going strong.
01:08It came in third with $5.2 million over the weekend for a total gross so far of $157.8 million.
01:17Meanwhile, the Garfield movie was number four,
01:20and The Watchers rounded out the top five.
