00:00Switching gears to Pete Davidson as the SNL star made his final appearance on the 47th season of the sketch comedy show.

00:07Pete joined Colin Jost and Michael Che on Weekend Update and thanked the show's creator Lorne Michaels and said that he owed him his life.

00:14Pete told an emotional and funny story about his 8th season run on the show.

00:18At one point, he explained that he got advice from Lorne when getting engaged to ex-fiancé Ariana Grande after just two weeks.

00:24The King of Staten Island star also posted a video and wrote a message through his buddy Dave Sears' Instagram.

00:31In the video, Pete can be seen hugging comedian Jared Carmichael after his first episode in 2014.

00:37In a lengthy and touching caption, Pete basically thanked the entire cast of SNL and explained how the show helped him in so many ways.

00:43He ended the post with a laugh by saying,

00:45SNL is my home. I'm so happy and sad about tonight's show for so many reasons I can't explain.

00:50Can't wait to be back next year in a Mulaney musical number.
