00:00So much for peace in Ukraine, and I'll give you one guess as to why.
00:04In a move surprising absolutely no one, Russia is set to reject the 19-point ceasefire deal
00:11crafted by officials from the United States and Ukraine. Sources told The Post Moscow may use
00:16disinformation tactics to keep President Trump engaged in continued talks and extend the fighting
00:23past Christmas. On Wednesday afternoon, the president said he was directing members of
00:27his administration to meet with the Ukrainians and Russians respectively, and added in a truth
00:32social post, quote, I look forward to hopefully meeting with President Zelensky and President
00:37Putin soon, but only when the deal to end this war is final or in its final stages.
00:43Now, if you need a refresher, the United States initially announced a 28-point plan that was
00:48criticized for favoring Russia. Moscow wasn't prepared to sign on, but suggested it was movement
00:54in the right direction. Then the U.S. and Ukraine refined the plan down to 19 points that seemed
01:00to be in line with what Ukraine was able to live with. But Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov
01:05went on the offensive, suggesting anything other than that original 28-point plan was a non-starter.
01:11I'm going to do a deep dive into this conflict, including speaking to a former U.S. military member
01:16who fights on the battlefield in Ukraine, and that is going to pop into your feeds tomorrow.
