00:00Meanwhile, the Fighting Irish game was over as soon as they hiked the ball here, Bill.
00:04They scored a couple touchdowns on defense to start, and then Jeremiah Love did the rest.
00:0970-7, yes, that's true.
00:11That was the final.
00:1270-7, as Notre Dame is right on the edge of the college football playoff.
00:18They probably have to win just to secure that spot.
00:21The story has been love and his ascension here in the Heisman Trophy, Bill.
00:25He's been fantastic.
00:26He's, you know, to me, the best running back coming out of college since, what, maybe Saquon Barkley at Penn State?
00:32Eight carries, 171 yards, three touchdowns.
00:34Had the game been a little closer, he would rush for 300 yards.
00:37And now in the Heisman Trophy, don't look now, but he's only 5-1 to win the Heisman.
00:42I mean, Bill, there's like one game left, two games left, and this could really go right down to the wire here.
00:48Fernando Mendoza is the favorite, but it's not overwhelming at minus 135.
00:52Generally, Bill, you get to this point in November, you see somebody minus 200, 250, et cetera.
00:57It just shows you how great love has been.
00:59The path for him is really interesting, Craig.
01:02I mean, he does rank third in the nation in rushing yards and TDs, and that's great.
01:06But what I always look at is he averages 7.1 yards per carry.
01:10So seven yards every time he touches the ball, which is incredible for a running back.
01:14I think your comparison to Barkley's spot on with his game-breaking ability.
01:19Now, how does he win the Heisman when, one, they play Stanford at 10.30 at night this Saturday on Rivalry Week,
01:26so he has to have the monster game there and hope a lot of people are up.
01:29And then, two, he needs the Big Ten championship game to be Indiana-Ohio State to be ugly.
01:35And Julian Sayan and Fernando Mendoza maybe just have middling games in a tough defensive struggle.
01:39And if that happens, and you believe that Jeremiah Love is the best player in the country,
01:44which I'm starting to believe that too, then he would have a chance to win the Heisman Trophy for Notre Dame.
01:49Yes, I think I'm looking into that, and it's going to be improved.
02:01So I'll start to get my hands on the nextMarine-Tap things on the right track.
02:06Good advice.
02:07You're welcome.
02:09No matter what he's changing for, I like to go find this scale.
02:12Yes, the idea.
02:13So we really, really don't spend too many years in it.
