00:00This was one of our most unsafe places anywhere
00:03in the United States.
00:04It is now considered a totally safe city.
00:08I won't tell you about murders.
00:09We're having murders, like a lot of murders,
00:12on a weekly basis.
00:14We haven't had a murder in six months.
00:16And it doesn't sound good even to say that we
00:19haven't had a murder in six months.
00:20But when you are averaging one, and even sometimes
00:25two a week, and you haven't had one in six months,
00:29you can walk with your family down the middle of
00:31any street, go to a restaurant, you won't get in.
00:35They're opening new restaurants all over.
00:38And it's really been a beautiful thing to see.
00:40So Washington, D.C., is now a totally safe city.
00:45And a year ago, it was a crime-criminal mess.
00:49We removed, Pam, 1,700 people, career criminals,
00:53and people that came to this city from Venezuela and
00:58many other places.
00:59They were let out of prisons, and they came here.
01:01They were Trendyaragua, a lot of Trendyaragua.
01:04That's from Venezuela.
01:06And we got them all the hell out of our country,
01:08or they're in prisons now.
01:11And you can walk down any street in Washington, and
01:13you're going to be just fine.
01:14And I want to thank the National Guard.
01:17I want to thank Pete Hegseth.
01:18The job you've done here is incredible.
01:20And I hear you having the same kind of success in
01:22Memphis, Tennessee, where you had an even worse
01:25situation.
01:26And Memphis crime is down 64 percent in three weeks.
01:30And by the time you have four or five weeks, you're
01:32going to have it down almost where there won't be crime.
01:36And we could do that in Chicago, by the way, if they
01:39would let us.
01:40If the mayor was a low-IQ person, but he should
01:44understand this, this is a very serious thing.
01:47You saw all the crime that took place last night, the
01:50night before.
01:51The woman with the burning, they burned the
01:54woman.
01:55To be talking about that now, they burned this
01:57beautiful woman riding in a train.
02:01A man was arrested 72 times.
02:05Seventy-two times.
02:06Think of that.
02:08And they'll let him out again.
02:10The liberal judges will let him out again.
02:13But we're ready to go.
02:15You know, we've been moving toward Chicago.
02:18We have a governor that thinks it's wonderful that
02:21only, like, seven people were killed this week.
02:24But we are moving toward doing — and we're going
02:27to — if crime gets — it's horrible, what's
02:30happening in Chicago.
02:31We could make Chicago a safe city in a period of
02:37four weeks.
02:39In a period of eight weeks, nine weeks, ten weeks, it
02:41would be totally safe.
02:43And the people of Chicago want us to go there.
02:46And if you look at the crime that's taken place in
02:48Chicago, in the last two weeks — just take a look.
02:51It's on the front page of every newspaper.
02:55It's out of control.
02:56The mayor is incompetent.
02:58And the governor is a big, fat slob.
03:03He ought to invite us in and say, please make
03:08Chicago safe.
03:10We're going to lose a great city if we don't do it
03:12quickly.
03:12Make Chicago — we'll do the same thing as we did in
03:15D.C. — the same thing as we did everywhere we've
03:19gone.
03:20It's become almost instantly safe.
03:23And I want to do it in Chicago.
03:25So, Governor Pritzker, if you're listening, let's
03:28get your act together.
03:29Invite us in.
03:31We're going to make your place so safe, you're not
03:32going to have these crimes that are making the
03:34newspapers and the front page of every newspaper
03:37and television story — news story.
03:40We'll make Chicago a safe place very quickly.
03:45I looked at the various cases, granting mercy,
03:48discovering that the terrible trauma that
03:52everyone is going through.
03:54And I had a little bit of a Pritzker joke.
03:57I was going to talk about Pritzker in size.
04:00But when I talk about Pritzker, I get angry
04:02because he's not letting us do the job.
04:04So I'm not going to tell my Pritzker joke.
04:06They have a very cute little joke, you know.
04:08Some speechwriter wrote some joke about his weight.
04:13But I would never want to talk about his weight.
04:14I don't talk about people being fat.
04:17I refuse to talk about the fact that he's a fat slob.
04:20I don't mention it.
04:22On a more serious note, as we gather around the
04:25dinner table — I'd like to lose a few pounds, too,
04:27by the way.
