00:00Yeah, going to the grocery store is, like, a little, like, more fun.
00:03I find myself around a lot of ping-pong all of a sudden.
00:05You shouldn't like things because people tell you you're supposed to like them.
00:08Recently, I think you probably would smack me down.
00:11Guys, lovely to meet you.
00:13What a journey you must have been on with this whole show.
00:16Do you remember life pre-Stranger Things?
00:18I have a horrible memory, actually.
00:21Nope.
00:22It's kind of hard to remember sometimes.
00:25I mean, yeah, you remember, like, but...
00:27The impact it's had on your lives is just monumental, right?
00:29Yeah, going to the grocery store is, like, a little, like, more fun.
00:34A little more dangerous.
00:35More exciting.
00:37We all need a little bit of danger in our lives.
00:38It's all good. It's all good.
00:39One thing I loved from the episodes I've seen so far is when Robin was saying that
00:44Nancy brings out the Neanderthal in The Two of You,
00:48and I was just curious, are you actually competitive over anything?
00:51Ping-pong?
00:51Yeah, we played a lot of ping-pong.
00:53Ping-pong.
00:54Yeah, yeah.
00:55We had a great thing going where it was like,
00:57Charlie is way better than me.
00:58But then I sort of, sort of, came up.
01:00And then we were kind of going for a bit.
01:02And I had a great streak.
01:04Yeah, you had a good run.
01:05You had a good run.
01:06But recently, I think you probably would smack me down.
01:10Even in New York on the rooftop.
01:11I did. That was amazing.
01:13That was such a good...
01:15You were like, hey, man, do you want to come and hang out?
01:17You want to come to the studio?
01:18Just kind of smashed me.
01:20And then was like, hi, man.
01:21See you later.
01:22See you later.
01:23Do you get involved in any of this?
01:25Oh, really?
01:26I find myself around a lot of ping-pong all of a sudden.
01:30So you have to, like, you know.
01:32And Gaten, too?
01:33Gaten's got a room.
01:33They, just for context, they had a room, kind of like this room, but a lot bigger.
01:39Sort of tricked out.
01:40Yeah, it was like a room for us to hang out in when we weren't.
01:43And like press stuff sometimes.
01:45And press, and yeah, and it had a ping-pong table, pinball machine.
01:48So you had no option other than to get great at ping-pong.
01:52Yes, it felt like this is what we're doing this year.
01:54That is a core memory of season five.
01:56For sure.
01:56Oh, I love that.
01:57I love that.
01:58Do you think there is a particular line or action or something you did throughout Stranger Things
02:04that is going to follow you your whole career?
02:05For sure.
02:06I feel like for each of us, I feel like everybody's got that little...
02:10That people are going to quote in your face, you know, that kind of thing.
02:12What's the thing that you have to write on all those things?
02:14It's like a really long line.
02:15Yeah, I have, and I never remember it.
02:17It's like you shouldn't like things because people tell you you're supposed to like them,
02:21I think.
02:21That's such a tough thing.
02:22You shouldn't like them.
02:24Is it a paint pen?
02:24And a Sharpie, too.
02:26Yeah.
02:26And a window this big.
02:28What about you two?
02:29What's your one?
02:30I get a lot of ask for forgiveness, not permission.
02:35Uh-huh.
02:37I feel like I've gotten...
02:38That's pretty good.
02:39That's pretty good.
02:40That's not too bad.
02:41Nice one.
02:41Yeah.
02:41Other than that, I mean, I feel like Barb to this day probably follows me.
02:45Barb stuff.
02:46Has anyone made you write the salt line on a box?
02:48The salt line has never come up.
02:50The lab line has come up.
02:52I have had to, let's burn that lab to the ground.
02:55Yeah, that one.
02:56Tom?
02:56Never forget.
02:57Funny enough, no.
02:58No one ever...
02:59Wow.
03:00Yeah.
03:00No one's ever going to let Barb go, are they?
03:02It doesn't matter how many seasons we go in.
03:04No.
03:04It's just like...
03:04No, she's no G.
03:06She's catalyst.
03:07Yeah.
03:08What do you get?
03:09Um, always the damn babysitter.
03:13Oh.
03:13They love that.
03:14Yeah.
03:14And also, we are at the end.
03:17Is there anything that you are going to miss about, obviously the ping pong probably, but
03:21anything you are going to miss about hanging out with certain people every single day?
03:26Natalia is always very sweet.
03:28Like, when we will shoot, you'll bring, like, a little assortment of snacks and, like, games
03:34and...
03:35Clementine.
03:35Like, she'll just sort of, like, assemble a nice mood and not say anything.
03:41And then everyone will sit down and have a little snack and all of a sudden you're, like,
03:45playing a little Bananagram or something between takes.
03:47Especially some of the stuff that we're doing, it's, like, a big, a lot of set-up time.
03:51Yeah.
03:52Just because of the size of the, you know, moving all these lights in the condor, you know, whatever.
03:56Um, but, yeah, just each other's company.
03:59It's just we've gotten so used to hanging out.
04:01Yeah.
04:02So, it's not...
04:03Definitely miss that.
04:05Just that.
04:05Joe's always doing some...
04:07I don't know.
04:07I feel like Joe's always doing some prank or some bit.
04:11Oh, sure.
04:12I'll miss that.
04:12Yeah.
04:13I'll miss...
04:13A little project, a little prank project.
04:15Yeah.
04:15Have you guys sat down and watched the entire thing from season one to season five?
04:21Yeah.
04:21Have you done that?
04:22We talked about doing that.
04:23Probably should do that.
04:24We talked about doing that during the shooting of it.
04:26But then it was too much, like...
04:28Coordinating and...
04:29And also, I watched one or two episodes, but then I was like...
04:33I can't watch this.
04:34So, like, it stressed me out, actually, to watch it.
04:37Yeah.
04:37Maybe, yeah, maybe...
04:38Give it a little time.
04:39In the future, we'll get together in, like, ten years.
04:43How does it feel, though, having this as part of your acting legacy?
04:46It is one of those things that's going to be connected with you for your whole life.
04:49The rest of your life, yeah.
04:50Absolutely.
04:50I mean, it's like...
04:52Worse.
04:52I mean...
04:53Could be worse.
04:54I'm a fan of, like, Lord of the Rings, I think, of, like, those things.
04:57Those, like, touchstone...
04:59I don't know.
04:59It is very rare for an actor to get any job, let alone a job that lasts for ten years.
05:06So you kind of have to just do the best that you can to, like, step back.
05:10And throughout the entire process of making this show, I feel like that was always important for all of us.
05:15And we would always kind of be like, God, like, can you believe this set?
05:19Or can you, like, can you believe that we're working with, like, Winona Ryder?
05:23Yeah, for sure.
05:24Or, like, you know, Sean Astin?
05:26Or, like, all these people are, like...
05:28It's just incredible.
05:29So, yeah, it's been, like, an unbelievable ride.
05:33What a journey, guys.
05:35Congratulations.
05:35Good luck with this one.
05:36I don't feel like you need it.
05:37Like, everyone's so excited.
05:39It's ridiculous.
05:40Lovely to meet you.
05:41So nice to meet you.
05:42Thank you so much.
