Miley Cyrus is opening up about not being on the road saying that touring isn't the healthiest thing for her. The "Flowers" singer opened up about her decision to stick to music festivals, TV appearances and single performances since her 2014 Bangerz tour in the latest installment of her 'Used to Be Young' TikTok series.

00:25she hasn't toured in nearly a decade is because the demands of performing on the road don't always

00:30offer an equal amount of recovery and rest. Like the show or the competition may only be a day,

00:36and that's what people don't really understand about touring, is the show is only 90 minutes,

00:39but that's your life. She also added that the relationship a musician has with crowds

00:43also isn't the healthiest for her. Having every day the relationship between you and other humans

00:50being subject and observer isn't healthy for me, because it erases my humanity and my connection,

00:56and without my humanity and my connection, I can't be a songwriter, which is my priority.

01:00Cyrus previously made similar statements in a cover story for British Vogue, however,

01:05later clarified those statements in an Instagram post, assuring fans that her decision to step back

01:10from touring was not based on how connected she felt to the fans, noting,

01:14This has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans,

01:17and everything to do with I simply don't want to get ready in a locker room,
