00:00Hundreds of travelers have been left stranded as airlines have cancelled their flights after
00:07the US issued air safety warnings around Venezuela. The USFAA alert issued last Friday
00:15urges pilots to use extreme caution due to the worsening security situation and increased
00:21military activity in the region. This has caused widespread cancellations by Venezuelan and
00:28international airlines such as Turkish Airlines, Iberia, Avianca and many more.
00:35Spanish airline Air Europa, Estelar and Laser announced the suspension of their flights to
00:41Venezuela. Over the weekend, other international airlines had already adopted similar measures.
00:48The warning comes days after the US designated the drug cartel of the Sons as a terrorist group,
00:55a group it alleges is led by Venezuela's president.
