00:00What did you think when you first read this script and talked about this role with John?

00:05I talked to him first. He reached out and asked if I would do it and if I would read it.

00:10And I was like, he was so, he's like a big kid.

00:13He was so excited. I was saying yes before I read it.

00:17And he's just an incredibly magical, meticulous artist.

00:26Yeah, what was it like working with him as a director?

00:29Did he give you any notes? Did you collaborate with him at all?

00:32You know, he knew exactly what needed to be done about everything.

00:37But he's so generous. He caretakes all the time.

00:43He keeps a mood that is upbeat and happy.

00:46He's just like this giant kid. He's a good guy.

00:49I love that. I love that.

00:51You worked a lot with the animated imaginary friend characters.

00:54But I wanted to ask, who in Hollywood would you want to voice your imaginary friend in real life if you had one?

01:01If I had to be an imaginary friend?

01:05Or if you had one in real life, who in Hollywood would you want to voice them?

01:08Just like all these big name people that are voicing this movie.

01:10I want Wanda Sykes.

01:13Wanda Sykes, that's a good one.

01:15Yeah.

01:16Did you have an imaginary friend growing up?

01:18I had so many of them.

01:19Yeah, every day.

01:21Just switch it up.

01:23Interact with them.

01:24Then I play their role and I play everyone else's role.

01:27I love that.

01:28And that's how I ended up here.

01:30Yeah, no for sure.

01:31And I want to say, I had to break out the tissues at some point during this movie.

01:35What do you hope that everyone takes away, especially kids, take away from this movie?

01:39To not lose the magical worlds that we create.

01:45They make us happy.

01:48They make the day easier.

01:53It could lead to real magic.
