00:00You guys made it up, but it's a game that I would have definitely played, you know, if I had...

00:06It's going to be huge, guys. It's going to be real. Lonely men around the country are going to be playing paddles.

00:12It's as simple as a barrel, an empty barrel, a wall, two paddles and a ball.

00:18And the goal is to hit it off the wall and have, it doesn't matter how many bounces, but it bounce in the barrel.

00:26And we're a team. We're not playing against each other.

00:28Nobody wins.

00:29No, we're playing against gravity, luck, and the barrel.

00:40Well, I pitched the movie as a really special relationship between two guys, and it's about letting go.

00:46And the characters are Andy and Michael, and I want to, you know, you guys talk about them.

00:52This is why he isn't the star of the film.

00:54I think when we set out to make the movie, it was to really tell a story of male intimacy that was platonic.

01:03You know, that's really what it's about, and I think that when that happens in movies, it's usually called a bromance.

01:10It's usually a joke.

01:11It's usually something that almost is, like, slightly, like, homophobic because, like, males can't be intimate unless it's a joke, you know?

01:19And all of us were just really interested in seeing two people who can't really find anybody else other than each other.

01:27They're very much outliers, and they're not very emotionally evolved.

01:33They're not very articulate, and they don't know how to deal with it.

01:36It was a perfect movie for me.

01:40You know, they said, you know, after a month or so, we'll have a rough cut, and we'll send it to you.
