Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have reached a boiling point. On Monday night, the Pakistani army carried out a bombing on a civilian home in Afghanistan’s Khost province, killing nine innocent children and one woman.

The Taliban government has condemned the strike, calling it outright Pakistani aggression. Reports suggest the attack was conducted in retaliation for a suicide bombing in Peshawar on Sunday, which targeted the headquarters of Pakistan’s paramilitary forces.
