David Kenyon (Nick Mancuso) is happily married to Molly (Suzy Amis) but hasn't told her about his ex-wife, Deidre (Yancy Butler). As it turns out, Deidre is a mentally unbalanced woman who was recently released from a psychiatric hospital and has come looking for David. She begins pursuing him obsessively and tries to get to him through his son, Michael (Hamish Tildesley), and by manipulating Molly. When that fails, she resorts to kidnapping Michael and holding him hostage.

00:02:04Sweetie, you can't just sit in there for a whole hour and not say anything.
00:02:09Well, maybe the psychiatrist will give you back your money.
00:02:12Yeah, but that's not the point.
00:02:42Yeah, but that's not the point.
00:03:12I can't see any difference between them.
00:03:14Eight or nine years, you start getting major structural deterioration.
00:03:18Well, how much damage has been done?
00:03:20I don't know. It's hard to say.
00:03:23I figure they've been substituting inferior materials the last week or so.
00:03:28What should we do?
00:03:29Hit the contractor with a $20 million lawsuit.
00:03:32Scare the shit out of him.
00:03:33He'll settle out of court big time.
00:03:34Maybe you should have been a lawyer instead of an architect.
00:03:43You play hardball.
00:03:44Especially when someone tries to fuck with me.
00:03:46Well, I knew when I hired you there'd be no compromises.
00:03:54Someone you know?
00:03:55I'll call you later this afternoon.
00:04:13Yeah, okay.
00:04:13Thanks, David.
00:04:14I was just passing and I saw the sign.
00:04:29David Kenyon, architect.
00:04:31I suppose I would have known it was one of yours just by looking at it.
00:04:34How have you been, Deidre?
00:04:37How do I look, David?
00:04:41Even from all the way at the top, I knew it was you.
00:04:45Do you often imagine seeing me in crowds?
00:04:47In an airline terminal or maybe just a face in a passing car?
00:04:51That's how it's been with me.
00:04:53Not one week goes by that I haven't thought I've seen you.
00:04:58You're looking very well.
00:05:00You are just visiting?
00:05:01No, I actually moved here.
00:05:03I checked into the Madison until I can find a suitable apartment.
00:05:06You wouldn't happen to know of any available, would you?
00:05:08No.
00:05:11Did you ever marry again?
00:05:13Yes.
00:05:14We have a five-year-old, a boy.
00:05:16Isn't that nice?
00:05:18What's her name?
00:05:19Her name's Molly.
00:05:21Molly.
00:05:21And you?
00:05:22One marriage was enough for me.
00:05:30Are we just going to stand here all day?
00:05:32Or can I buy you a drink?
00:05:33The view must be terrific from the top of the Madison this time of day.
00:05:38Why don't we just go across the street?
00:05:40Okay.
00:05:58Anything else?
00:05:58Another martini, please.
00:06:00Nothing there from me.
00:06:00Since when have you started drinking martinis?
00:06:06I've acquired quite a few habits you don't know about, David.
00:06:10Is there a man in your life?
00:06:11Yes.
00:06:12I've been living with somebody in Palm Beach for the past 11 months.
00:06:15He's a great tennis player.
00:06:17I could never beat him.
00:06:18I could always beat you.
00:06:19Maybe that's why I liked you better.
00:06:20You know, if I marry the guy, you could always build us our dream house.
00:06:27He owns some wonderful lakefront property, and I do remember that you always had an idea
00:06:30for something on the cliffs.
00:06:32You have a good memory.
00:06:33Well, we can't always control what we remember.
00:06:38You know, maybe we have very little control over our lives after all.
00:06:41For instance, here I am, walking down the street in a brand new city, and I see your name on a wooden fence.
00:06:47I look up, and there you are.
00:06:50Isn't that just a remarkable coincidence?
00:06:52Was it a coincidence, Deidre?
00:06:56What else could it be, David?
00:06:58Oh, goodness, you don't think I tracked you down, do you?
00:07:00Why would you?
00:07:02Well, I guess we'll be bumping into each other all over the place.
00:07:04It isn't that big a city.
00:07:05I always thought it was.
00:07:07Why wouldn't you come with me to my hotel for a drink?
00:07:09Were you worried about being alone with me?
00:07:11To tell you the truth, I'm trying to get over this as quickly as possible.
00:07:15I'm just trying to be polite.
00:07:17Something like that.
00:07:18A formality.
00:07:20Yeah, a formality.
00:07:22Why do you always get so angry at me, David?
00:07:26You know, I wonder, are you pretending, or do you really have no idea what is going on here?
00:07:34You're just playing back old tapes, David.
00:07:36Maybe I am.
00:07:37I just don't like the way I feel when I'm around you.
00:07:43But Molly makes you feel good?
00:07:47That's why I married her.
00:07:49Hmm.
00:07:51You know, I really don't think divorced people should see each other, particularly when there's no kids involved.
00:07:55Just cut the cord, pretend it never happened, pretend I'm dead.
00:07:59I gotta go.
00:08:02It's still my treat.
00:08:06A real pleasure, David.
00:08:11Hmm.
00:08:12Well, I finally got you to touch me.
00:08:14Stop it, man.
00:08:21You're making a fool of yourself.
00:08:29If you'd really wanted to die, you would have cut deeper.
00:08:34Suppose I had.
00:08:35Would you have sent flowers?
00:08:38You went along now, David.
00:08:40You know where to reach me.
00:08:40I've already forgotten.
00:08:50Look back, David.
00:08:52Please look back.
00:08:53Hmm.
00:08:53Hmm.
00:08:53Hmm.
00:08:57Hmm.

00:09:10Hmm.
00:09:10You like drinking alone?
00:09:19Are you married?
00:09:20The truth now.
00:09:24Yeah.
00:09:25Then you may sit down.
00:09:30I'm Frank.
00:09:31I'm Molly.
00:09:33Molly.
00:09:33That's a good old-fashioned name.
00:09:36You having trouble with your boyfriend?
00:09:37Well, that was my husband.
00:09:38He thinks I drink too much.
00:09:39Well, I don't have a problem with that.
00:09:44Waiter.
00:09:45You know what?
00:09:46Why don't we pick up a bottle and go somewhere and enjoy it privately?
00:09:49Why didn't I think of that?
00:09:52I know a place you're going to love.
00:09:58I'm sure you do.
00:10:03So, uh, any little kids or shouldn't I ask?
00:10:07One boy.
00:10:08Michael.
00:10:09He's five.
00:10:09People say he's the spitting image of me.
00:10:11I've got three myself.
00:10:12You know, it's really great, finally being honest for a change.
00:10:16No bullshit.
00:10:17You're a very unusual woman.
00:10:19I'm so glad you noticed.
00:10:21You're a sissy.
00:10:39You've been a very bad girl today, Molly.
00:10:41I'm so glad you're here.
00:11:11I'm so glad you're here.
00:11:41Is that on?
00:12:11This is Dr. Lillian Jonas.
00:12:37You've reached my private line.
00:12:39Please leave a message at the tone.
00:12:41Pick up the phone, Dr. Jonas.
00:12:43It's Deirdre.
00:12:44I know you want to talk to me.
00:12:48Yes, Deirdre.
00:12:49I'm here.
00:12:50You knew I'd call sooner or later, didn't you?
00:12:53Are you all right?
00:12:54Are you taking your medication?
00:12:56Yes, I'm getting my medication.
00:12:59You know, there's some wonderful doctors here in New York.
00:13:02I'm being looked at with ever-loving care.
00:13:04Why don't you give me their names?
00:13:06They should talk to me.
00:13:07No, no, no.
00:13:08I don't want you to talk to them.
00:13:10It's much more fun letting them find out as we go along.
00:13:13Well, then, let me have your phone number in, and you and I can chat sometimes.
00:13:17Yeah, don't worry, Doc.
00:13:18I'll keep in touch.
00:13:20You never should have left before you complete a treatment, Deirdre.
00:13:23I was doing you a favor, Lily, and I thought you were falling for me.
00:13:29I'll bet you're getting very excited just listening to my voice right now.
00:13:33Would you like to have some telephone sex, Doctor?
00:13:37Why are you trying to provoke me?
00:13:39I'm completely naked right now, and I can feel your warm, manly hands.
00:13:44I can feel them moving so slowly, searching for the wetness between my hands.
00:13:56You can't disconnect a poor girl before she's had her little orgasm, Lillian.
00:14:00It's so fucking selfish of you to pretend that you're not listening.
00:14:05I love your mouth, Lillian.
00:14:07It's a man's mouth.
00:14:10Those thin lips.
00:14:11I want to feel those thin lips all the way.
00:14:22Don't get a bitch.
00:14:23Weaving may be easy, but faith is slow.
00:14:34It takes a lot of doubt, and for our faith to grow.
00:14:38You know that part.
00:14:41Do you have another hard day?
00:14:44I could say that.
00:14:46You just seem so exhausted, Lillian.
00:14:48Yeah, I've been overdoing it.
00:14:49That's how did you see Dr. Wilkins today?
00:14:54I don't like him.
00:14:55You don't like him?
00:14:56Well, he likes you.
00:14:57He wants to be your friend.
00:14:59He asks too many questions.
00:15:02But you didn't like any of the other doctors.
00:15:04I told you I wouldn't hit any more kids.
00:15:07The idea is to find out why you do it in the first place.
00:15:11Why are you so angry?
00:15:19I don't like him.
00:15:49you know if you keep your elbows tucked in and your hands closer together on the bar that should

00:24:43Did you get blamed?
00:24:52I bet you did.

00:24:58Even her boyfriend.
00:25:00And we got married later on.
00:25:02Do you think that that was the wrong thing to do?
00:25:04Why?
00:25:04If it wasn't your fault.
00:25:08Michael!
00:25:08Look, there's your mother.

00:25:54Have a good night.
00:25:55You know, if you don't make any progress, you should start spending some time with them.
00:26:11Hi, Daddy.

00:26:30Michael, go to your room.
00:26:40Lillian?
00:26:42Your name is Lillian?
00:26:46Yes, it is.
00:26:48You have a charming boy and a wonderful wife.
00:26:50Why don't you grab your stuff and get the hell out of here?
00:26:52Grab your stuff and get the hell out of here.
00:26:54David, what's going on?
00:26:55And get out of my home.
00:26:56David?
00:26:57I'm tired of this bullshit.
00:26:57Let's move.
00:26:59David!
00:27:00You know where to find me.
00:27:01David, what is going on?
00:27:07Are you listening to me carefully, you crazy bitch?
00:27:09You stayed all the fuck away from my family.
00:27:12Your family, David?
00:27:13Why didn't you just tell them who I was, huh?
00:27:15Is it because I don't exist in your life?
00:27:17You were never married before and you were never arrested for trying to kill me, were you?
00:27:20Nor you!
00:27:21Were you!
00:27:28Why did you do that to her?
00:27:37Are you out of your mind?
00:27:38She's done nothing but try to help us.
00:27:40She's pulling some kind of shit on us.
00:27:42What kind of a doctor doesn't even have an office of her own?
00:27:45Is that all?
00:27:47She's a con artist.
00:27:48I'm not sure she's even a doctor.
00:27:51Based on what?
00:27:51I checked with the state medical society.
00:27:53They have no record of her.
00:27:54She's not even licensed.
00:27:55She's new here.
00:27:56She's a con artist.
00:27:57I don't want you to have anything more to do with her.
00:28:00I'm sorry.
00:28:01I gotta get dressed.
00:28:03No!
00:28:04You can't start this and then just walk away!
00:28:07Look, Molly, we know absolutely nothing about her.
00:28:10She knows everything about us.
00:28:12God knows what you two talk about.
00:28:13Did you mention what happened the other night?
00:28:16About what happened in bed?
00:28:18That's exactly what I'm talking about.
00:28:19Did you mention it?
00:28:22She's treating Michael, not me.
00:28:24But you talked about it, right?
00:28:25Women talk about personal feelings when they're together.
00:28:27Molly, there are all kinds of phonies out there practicing medicine.
00:28:31I'm just trying to protect you, that's all.
00:28:33Yeah, trying to tell you that I don't have any sense of judgment?
00:28:35I'm not talking about you.
00:28:36I'm talking about her.
00:28:40I thought you had a business dinner.
00:28:46I'll be back at 4.11.
00:28:47Whatever.
00:29:17Excuse me.
00:29:24Do you have a Dr. Jonas, a Dr. Lillian Jonas registered here?
00:29:28Are you Mr. Kenyon?
00:29:32Yes.
00:29:34She's in room 804.
00:29:35She's expecting you.
00:29:39You're welcome.
00:29:39I took the liberty of ordering up your favorite champagne.
00:29:51I want you to shut up, and I want you to listen for a change.
00:29:56Certainly, David.
00:29:57I want you to stay away from my son.
00:30:01And I want you to stay away from my wife.
00:30:03Your son, Michael, and your little wife, Molly, happen to like me a lot.
00:30:08Perhaps a lot more than they like you at the moment.
00:30:10Try to focus on what I am saying to you.
00:30:13You are not going to wreck my life again.
00:30:17Go on.
00:30:18You feel like smashing something, don't you?
00:30:20Smash something.
00:30:21That's always how it starts, isn't it?
00:30:23You belong in that goddamn institution.
00:30:25Do you see how wonderful it is having a history as a mental patient?
00:30:28I'm not responsible for one goddamn thing I do.
00:30:32I'm a certified nut.
00:30:33I wouldn't even stand trial, do you hear me?
00:30:36Wouldn't even stand trial.
00:30:40Are you threatening me?
00:30:44That's my little secret.
00:30:47Well, as of tonight, there will be no more secrets.
00:30:50I'm telling Molly everything.
00:30:52So fuck you.
00:30:56David, wait.
00:31:00Let me make it easier for you this time, huh?
00:31:03What are you doing?
00:31:13Molly, you'd have a lot of explaining to do, David.
00:31:17Get away from that window, teacher.
00:31:19Come on.
00:31:20One tiny little shove.
00:31:21David, do it.
00:31:22Come on, do it.
00:31:24Get away from the window.
00:31:25Come on.
00:31:26Just one tiny shove.
00:31:27That's all it takes.
00:31:28Come here.
00:31:28Come on, do it.
00:31:30What do you want?
00:31:32I want to satisfy the man I love, David.
00:31:35Come on, do it.
00:31:36You've always wanted to do it, haven't you?
00:31:38To punish me for what I did to marry him.
00:31:40Come on, let's go swimming.
00:31:45Yes, you do.
00:31:46Come on, let's go over.
00:31:47Come on.
00:31:50You didn't do anything.
00:31:55Oh, come on.
00:31:56Way in the back of your mind.
00:31:57You've always known.
00:31:58You've always known.
00:32:00I wanted you.
00:32:02And she had you.
00:32:03You understand me?
00:32:04Catherine, help me.
00:32:08Stop.
00:32:10Catherine.
00:32:10Catherine.
00:32:12Come on.
00:32:13Here.
00:32:17I need everything.
00:32:21No!
00:32:27No!
00:32:27It was so easy to hold her down that night.
00:32:33She was so goddamn drunk.
00:32:34And the water was so cold.
00:32:36You saw that.
00:32:39No.
00:32:40Yes.
00:32:42Come on.
00:32:43One tiny little shove.
00:32:45Come on.
00:32:48Come on.
00:32:49Do it.
00:32:51Come on.
00:32:52Do it.
00:32:52What could you possibly do to me, David,
00:33:05that I don't want you to do, huh?
00:33:07You are not gonna ruin my life!
00:33:12I bet you're all hard, aren't you?
00:33:14Oh.
00:33:18How many women would have committed murder for you?
00:33:21Aren't you even fucking flattered, aren't you?
00:33:24Huh?
00:33:27I'm gonna have you arrested for murder!
00:33:34Excuse me.
00:33:36What's the matter with you two?
00:33:37Haven't you ever seen a couple after a good fuck before?
00:33:41David, you won't tell Molly, and neither will I.
00:33:43We both want this to last.
00:33:44I'm so sorry what happened.
00:34:11He had no right to treat you that way.
00:34:13I don't want to talk about it.
00:34:20What happened?
00:34:23Nothing.
00:34:24Nothing.
00:34:27What happened to you, Ernie?
00:34:30Look.
00:34:31I knew if I saw you that I just might fall apart.
00:34:34Please don't mention any of this to David.
00:34:37What does this have to do with David?
00:34:39Well, he came to my room at the Madison last night, but not to talk about Michael.
00:34:47I asked him to leave.
00:34:49That's when he grabbed me.
00:34:52And he hit me all over.
00:34:55You're saying he put these marks on you?
00:34:56I'm saying that he raped me.
00:35:05He wouldn't do that.
00:35:07I don't believe you.
00:35:10He has a birthmark on the inside of his left thigh, doesn't he?
00:35:15Why didn't you call the police?
00:35:29Why?
00:35:31Don't you know?
00:35:32Because of you, Molly.
00:35:33Because of you and Michael.
00:35:34I didn't want to hurt you.
00:35:35Look, I walked into your life, and I'm going to walk out of it now.
00:35:42But please, please be careful of him around the little boy.
00:35:47A man who did what he did is just capable of absolutely anything.
00:35:50I'm going to walk out of it now, and I'm going to walk out of it now, and I'm going to walk out of it now.
00:36:20I'm going to walk out of it now.
00:36:50I'm going to walk out of it now.
00:36:52David?
00:36:57Do you all know my wife?
00:36:59Hello.
00:37:00Can I see you alone, please?
00:37:02Excuse us.
00:37:03Certainly.
00:37:07What's going on?
00:37:08Is there something wrong with Michael?
00:37:09No, he's fine.
00:37:12I never realized what a good actor you were.
00:37:13What are you talking about?
00:37:18You don't remember going to visit Lillian last night?
00:37:22What did she tell you?
00:37:26Then you don't deny being there.
00:37:28No, I don't deny being there.
00:37:31I was trying to protect my family.
00:37:33I wanted to get rid of her once and for all.
00:37:34By attacking her?
00:37:35Is that what she told you?
00:37:36I saw the marks all over her body.
00:37:38She's a liar.
00:37:38She's a fucking...
00:37:39She's a fucking liar.
00:37:43She told me you raped her.
00:37:50Oh, Jesus Christ.
00:37:53And you believed her?
00:37:54You believed her.
00:37:58How would she know about your birthmark?
00:38:00She ought to know.
00:38:02I was married to her for three years.
00:38:04She was my first wife.
00:38:07What?
00:38:08Her name's not Lillian.
00:38:11It's Deidre.
00:38:16Why didn't you tell me you were married before?
00:38:18I was ashamed it was a sick relationship.
00:38:20I just wanted...
00:38:21I never wanted to see her again.
00:38:23And you didn't feel close enough to tell me about it?
00:38:26No, I did not.
00:38:27Why is she pretending to be somebody else?
00:38:29I have no idea.
00:38:30She's been institutionalized.
00:38:45It was over seven years ago.
00:38:48One night she pushed me so far,
00:38:50I wrapped my hands around her throat.
00:38:51If the neighbors hadn't called the cops,
00:38:53I might have killed her.
00:38:54And that's exactly what she wanted.
00:38:55Were you arrested?
00:38:57Yeah.
00:38:59I plea bargained.
00:39:00I got 11 months probation.
00:39:02After the divorce,
00:39:03she had a complete breakdown.
00:39:04I split.
00:39:05I disappeared.
00:39:06I didn't want to know.
00:39:07I told her so much about us.
00:39:11Molly, look.
00:39:14Look, I was very wrong
00:39:16not to tell you the truth.
00:39:17But there is absolutely nothing between us.
00:39:25She's been planning this for weeks.
00:39:27She's been following us.
00:39:28She's sick.
00:39:30I'm going to call the police.
00:39:31No, no, no police.
00:39:33They'll never believe me.
00:39:34The Lord knows what she's been saying to Michael,
00:39:36you know?
00:39:37No.
00:39:37Son of a bitch.
00:39:42hello yes hello my name is jennifer thomas

00:40:39so
00:40:41so
00:40:46so
00:41:23I'm so sorry. Your lease is terminated.
00:41:38There must be something we can do.
00:41:40There's nothing we have to do. We can put it behind us.
00:41:43It's over. It's finished. She can't touch us.
00:41:45All we have to do is just hang in there.
00:41:47You must have loved her once, though.
00:41:49Look, Molly, back then I drank.
00:41:51I drugged. I was crazy.
00:41:54I was into this whole self-destructive lifestyle.
00:41:56She was part of it. I changed my life around.
00:41:59She's not part of me anymore.
00:42:00Let's get this stuff cleaned up. It's almost time for a bath.
00:42:15I want to see Lillian.
00:42:22Lillian is gone.
00:42:25And I won't accept any rudeness to your mother.
00:42:27Now, you pick up your toys and you do as you're told, young man.
00:42:33You just don't want me to have a friend.
00:42:37David, don't. He's just trying to make you lose your temper.
00:42:39Now, I wonder where you learned that from.
00:42:45Maybe I should go out on the balcony and scream a couple of times.
00:42:48Is that acceptable behavior?
00:42:49How do you know she's gone?
00:42:52Because I called the hotel.
00:42:53I'm sorry.
00:43:08I don't know what's the matter with me.
00:43:10Let's just get this behind us.
00:43:12She's gone now.
00:43:13Have I told you how much I love you?
00:43:38I guess she found the apartment she was looking for.
00:43:43She could see right in here.
00:43:47She could see right in here.
00:44:13She's crazy.
00:44:26From a legal standpoint, there's very little I can do.
00:44:29Can't we get a restraining order?
00:44:31Oh, Molly.
00:44:32She has better grounds for getting one than we do.
00:44:34With David's prior history of violence towards her, believe me,
00:44:38a judge would not look too kindly upon such a request.
00:44:41That was over seven years ago.
00:44:42You've got to understand the law tends to be black or white.
00:44:46When you plea bargain that case,
00:44:48you essentially corroborated all of the allegations she made against you.
00:44:54You were fortunate not to have done time.
00:44:56She's pretending to be a doctor.
00:44:57You mean to tell me there's no laws against that?
00:45:00She hasn't taken any money for treatments.
00:45:02There's no laws to protect people from fucking lunatics?
00:45:05David, I strongly advise you to have no further contact with her whatsoever.
00:45:14I'll try having a word with her.
00:45:16Do you think I'll do any good?
00:45:24Hmm?
00:45:25I know what she wants.
00:45:32That would be great if you did that.
00:45:34It might help.
00:45:40Great.
00:45:40Hello, Deirdre.
00:45:56I, um...
00:45:57I came here to give you the opportunity to...
00:46:00to commit yourself for treatment.
00:46:03I...
00:46:03I feel that you're a danger to yourself and others.
00:46:07What are you talking about with others?
00:46:11Well, your ex-husband and his new wife.
00:46:15Look, their lawyer called me in Chicago
00:46:17and filled me in on the details.
00:46:20And you just came rushing to the rescue, didn't you?
00:46:23Deirdre, I...
00:46:24I don't want to have to go to the authorities with this.
00:46:26You can't go to the authorities with any of this.
00:46:30There is such a thing as patient-client privilege.
00:46:33Which can be set aside if someone's personal safety is threatened,
00:46:36which, in this case, I think it may be.
00:46:38Do you have any specific evidence of my violent behavior?
00:46:44Out of bed, I mean.
00:46:46What about your sister?
00:46:52What about my sister, Lillian?
00:46:55I helped pull her out of the water,
00:46:57and I was the one who gave her mouth-to-mouth resuscitations
00:47:00until those lifeguards came.
00:47:03And then you helped console David.
00:47:09You know what?
00:47:10You've known about all of this, all of this for years,
00:47:12and now suddenly it adds up to murder?
00:47:16You know, since we're making up stories here,
00:47:19I'm sure I could fabricate a few of myself.
00:47:22Um, let's see.
00:47:23Oh, how you abused the patient-client relationship
00:47:26in order to satisfy your deviant sexual appetite, huh?
00:47:32I am sure that more people will be likely to believe
00:47:35that you are a goddamn dyke
00:47:38than that I'm a murderer.
00:47:44What do you think, Lillian?
00:47:47What do you think?
00:47:47I think we'll see.
00:47:52Wait, wait.
00:47:56I'll go with you, okay?
00:47:58I'll sign myself in.
00:48:00Just give me a couple moments to get dressed.
00:48:02Deirdre?
00:48:29What's going on?
00:48:30Deirdre?
00:48:34Deirdre?
00:49:36Hello.
00:49:41Miss Kenyon.
00:49:42Mr. Endicott.
00:49:44Well, this is a pleasant surprise. I was anticipating your attorney. Please, come in.
00:49:47Well, thank you. Um, what would I need an attorney for? Isn't David coming to the meeting?
00:49:51I didn't think that would be terribly constructive.
00:49:55I'm sure you've been hearing some terrible things about me, Mr. Endicott.
00:50:02Um, you may as well know that I've had to contact Dr. Jonas in Chicago and make her aware that you've been using her name.
00:50:11What did she say about me?
00:50:12She was very discreet. She told me that she couldn't discuss her patients.
00:50:17You know, that's Lillian. She's always so professional.
00:50:20Now, I understand that you've rented an apartment in the same building as the Kenyans.
00:50:25Well, yes, I have. You know, actually, Mr. Endicott, that was David's idea.
00:50:31He wanted me close by so we could continue seeing one another.
00:50:35Am I to infer, then, that you and David are having an affair?
00:50:39Well, I just knew that you wouldn't believe one word I said with all these terrible stories, Mr. Endicott.
00:50:43So, um, well, I brought you something.
00:50:47Um, may I?
00:50:50Please.
00:50:55I don't know if you're into what is politely called, um, well, adult entertainment.
00:51:00Uh-huh.
00:51:16Uh-huh.
00:51:18Uh-huh.
00:51:29Uh-huh.
00:51:30Was David aware this was being made?
00:51:50Well, why? Is secretly taping your lover a crime in this state?
00:51:54Does he know about this tape?
00:51:56Does he know about it, Mr. Endicott? Of course he knows about it. It was his idea.
00:52:00Um, Ms. Kagan, I, um...
00:52:05Look, Mr. Endicott, please. Your client has obviously been lying to you, just as he's been lying to his wife, and I...
00:52:12Well, I just really don't think you want to get in the middle of this.
00:52:16It was a pleasure.
00:52:18Um, I appreciate you coming in, thank you.
00:52:21Well, of course.
00:52:23Please, I'll see you out.
00:52:30Hey, Miles.
00:52:34No, you're not interrupting. What's up?
00:52:36I've been called to...
00:52:37I knew you ought to complete a merger.
00:52:40It'd be wise if, uh, you got somebody else to advise you on this matter.
00:52:44A merger?
00:52:46Miles, why are you talking to me like I was born yesterday?
00:52:49Why are you ducking out on me?
00:52:51Right, yeah.
00:52:51Did you talk to her?
00:52:53She got to you, didn't she?
00:52:54What did she tell you?
00:52:57Yeah, all right, um...
00:52:58The woman has an entirely different version of what's going on, okay?
00:53:01With evidence to support it.
00:53:03I think you should know that she taped the entire thing, David.
00:53:06Jesus Christ.
00:53:06Miles, we made some tapes when we were married.
00:53:11I completely forgot about him during the divorce.
00:53:13Listen, you're gonna have to do better than that, okay?
00:53:15Even I have to draw the line somewhere, and for me, this is it.
00:53:20Please, just find somebody else.
00:53:22Look, Mom.
00:53:25That should be my friend.
00:53:28Is there a problem, Mr. Kenyon?
00:53:30No, there's no problem.
00:53:31It's an emergency meeting.
00:53:38Hello, who's speaking?
00:53:40Hi, Michael.
00:53:42You recognize my voice, don't you?
