Richard Lewis' friends and co-stars, including Larry David, are paying tribute to the late actor and comedian. Lewis, known for his role on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' died Tuesday night at his Los Angeles home after suffering a heart attack. The actor revealed in April last year that he had been living with Parkinson's disease and was retiring from stand-up.

00:19creator of Curb Your Enthusiasm, shared in a statement, Richard and I were born three days

00:23apart in the same hospital and for most of my life he's been like a brother to me. He had that

00:27rare combination of being the funniest person and also the sweetest but today he made me sob and

00:32for that I'll never forgive him. Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cheryl Hines also shared a heartfelt

00:36tribute on Instagram writing in part, when I was young I had the biggest crush on Richard Lewis.

00:41He was the funniest person on stage and the most handsome comedian. Then when I was cast on Curb

00:46Your Enthusiasm I got to work with him and it was a dream come true. Through the years I learned who

00:50Richard really was and the gifts he gave. Yes he was the comedian I fell in love with but he was also

00:55one of the most loving people I know. His Anything But Love co-star Jamie Lee Curtis wrote in part,

01:00I remember exactly where I was when I saw a billboard of him about a stand-up special on

01:04Sunset Boulevard when we were casting the ABC pilot Anything But Love and asked the casting people to

01:10bring him in to audition to play my best friend slash maybe boyfriend Marty Gold. He got the part

01:14when I snort laughed when he mispronounced the word bunt cake. He blew everyone else away. She also

01:19wrote, he also is the reason I am sober. He helped me. I am forever grateful for him for that act of grace

01:25alone. And as Robin Hood Men in Tights co-star Carrie Elwes shared on social media, no, we were literally

01:31just making plans to get together. Besides your remarkable talent, there was no one sweeter or more

01:35generous than you my friend. I miss you already and forever. Rest in power Richard. Our sincere
