00:14Amber Heard's attorney Elaine Bredehoft is slamming the outcome of Johnny Depp's defamation lawsuit against her client.
00:20After a jury ruled Wednesday that Heard defamed Depp on three claims and that Depp defamed Heard on just one of her counterclaims,
00:27Bredehoft told NBC's Today she thinks the jury didn't believe Heard because of how she was vilified on social media.
00:33While the jury is instructed not to look at social media, Heard's attorney believes it still had an impact on the case as the jury was not sequestered.

00:46We had a 10-day break in the middle because of the judicial conference. There's no way they couldn't have been influenced by it.
00:52Over on CBS Mornings, Heard's attorney cited having cameras in the courtroom as another issue, something she says she fought against.

01:07It was pointed out that...
01:08CBS's Gail King went on to point out that this was the first time a victim of sexual abuse had to testify on live television.
01:14Bredehoft suggested an additional factor in the verdict was not being allowed to present certain evidence, including the outcome of Depp's suit against Heard in the U.K.
01:22And we weren't allowed to tell the jury this, but the court found that Mr. Depp had committed at least 12 acts of domestic violence, including sexual violence, against Amber.
01:32According to experts interviewed by The Washington Post, Depp lost in the U.K., yet won in the U.S.
01:38because the U.K. case had a judge making the decision instead of a jury.
01:41The attorney noted Heard does plan to appeal the verdict.
