00:00So before you come back here with another lame-ass offer, I want you to think real
00:05hard about what your spine is worth, Mr. Walker.
00:08Ooh, tell him! And now Erin Brockovich is bringing her no-nonsense attitude to the
00:13small screen. Grey's Anatomy showrunner Krista Vernoff is bringing the activist life
00:17to TV for an ABC drama called Rebel, which will focus on what life has been like for
00:21the legal consultant in the last 20 years since Julia Roberts first brought her
00:25story to the big screen in 2000's Erin Brockovich. Rebel, set to be inspired
00:30by Brockovich's life today, follows Annie Rebel-Rubelski, a legal consultant who 20
00:35years after a movie made her famous, is still working without a law degree.
00:39Brockovich herself will be executive producing the drama alongside Vernoff, who is also
00:43penning the script. The film Erin Brockovich earned Roberts multiple honors including an
00:47Academy Award and a Golden Globe. The film, which was Oscar nominated for Best Picture,
00:52followed the single mother of three who was instrumental in building a case against
00:56Pacific Gas and Electric in the early 90s, doing so without any legal training.
