Glen Powell is off to the races! Paramount dropped the trailer for 'The Running Man,' Edgar Wright's adaptation of the Stephen King novel, which stars Powell as a father who enters a deadly competition to help his sick daughter.

00:19The film takes place in the near future,

00:21in which contestants must spend 30 days surviving being hunted by deadly assassins

00:25for a chance to an ever-growing cash prize,

00:28all while the proceedings are broadcast on TV.

00:31Powell initially debuted the first footage from the film during CinemaCon,

00:34where he said,

00:35I have never worked harder on a movie in my life.

00:38Previously adapted into the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie of the same name,

00:42with Powell saying he's received his blessing for the new film,

00:45connecting with the action star through his son Patrick.

00:48Arnold gave us his full blessing,

00:49and we get to give Arnold a very specific fun gift from the movie.

00:54The film is set to be released on November 7th.
