00:00Slovenians rejected a law in a referendum that allowed terminally ill patients to end their lives.

00:08Preliminary results showed that around 54% voted against the law, while 46% supported it.

00:15The law proposed that mentally competent people who have no chance of recovery

00:20or are facing unbearable pain have the right to assisted dying.
