00:00What a joy it is to be reminded that we are now in the Christmas season.
00:09No matter how heavy the loads that we feel sometimes in the work that we do,
00:17hindi ako yan. Yung mga cabinet secretary, may mga sila ganyan.
00:20Ako lang ako nararamdaman na ganun. I don't know what they're talking about when they tell me about it.
00:25But, you know, for all of us who, well, everyone has challenges.
00:30That they had to go through.
00:31But every time we start to hear the Christmas carols on the radio,
00:38every time we start to see the decorations go up,
00:42and again, like I've always said,
00:45we are the only country that puts up Christmas decorations starting in September.
00:52And people cannot understand why that is.
00:55But that is because we are Pinoy's.
00:57And Pinoy's Christmas has a special meaning to Filipinos.
01:05And that's why we celebrate it really very, very, very seriously.
01:13And really take the time out to once again be with family, once again be with loved ones.
01:19And where there's an added dimension to that is that because we have millions of Filipinos who are working and living abroad.
01:29And Christmas is often the only time that they can come back and be with their families.
01:36And that's why it means something special to us Filipinos.
01:56It always has, but it continues to mean even more.
02:00And what does it mean?
02:02It means that once again, we examine our lives, I suppose, and see, look back and see what has happened.
02:10But at the same time, it is a time to maybe put down what we are carrying and spend more time.
02:25Because we always, those of us who, especially those of us who are very busy,
02:30we sometimes neglect our family, we sometimes neglect those that we love.
02:37And this is the time for us to take that time.
02:40It's perfectly all right.
02:42But, you know, take a little time off.
02:45And spend some good time with your friends, with your family.
02:50And that is why when we feel the spirit of Christmas in the air again, we immediately take flight and remember what is nice, what is good, what is happy, what is joyous in Christmas.
03:11And, of course, that always includes family and, of course, the kids.
03:15Christmas is for children.
03:16But, you know, children of all ages, though.
03:21Because whatever age you are, you can still enjoy Christmas as well as any child.
03:27And that is what we should be doing so that we come back refreshed.
03:31We come back with new ideas.
03:37We come back with new blood.
03:39We come back with something that will contribute to what we are doing.
03:43And that will come from just spending good time with our loved ones.
03:49And to remember that this is the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
03:55And to once again dedicate ourselves and our lives to that service.
04:02Happy Christmas, everybody, and Happy New Year.
