00:18Once infused into the liver, they begin producing insulin.
00:21The issue with tests has always been when they did islet cell transplants, your body tends to reject it.
00:28And the immunosuppressants that have been used can raise blood sugars and cause other problems.
00:34Of the 12 patients trialed, they were able to go without insulin for several months.
00:39A recent medical review reports therapies like this are a close step to putting an end to type 1.
