00:02:00Are we still on for Saturday?
00:02:03Oh, yes.
00:02:04Are you coming along?
00:02:05Yes.
00:02:07You need a man.
00:02:12Well, I had one.
00:02:15I told you.
00:02:18I thought I had one.
00:02:20Well, get another one.
00:02:23Okay, cut.
00:02:23Let's take it.
00:02:25Back over on page four.
00:02:26Skip on over.
00:02:27You can have mine.
00:02:29Oh, thank you.
00:02:32Oh, no.
00:02:32No.
00:02:33No, I didn't mean it like that, Nancy.
00:02:35No, I like Chuck.
00:02:36Don't worry.
00:02:38I wouldn't wish him on you.
00:02:40He has very unpleasant personal habits.
00:02:45Really?
00:02:45Miss Davis.
00:02:50Yes, sir.
00:02:51When did you get this music on?
00:02:53Last night, after teacher's meeting.
00:02:55Sure, it wasn't this morning.
00:02:57Well, it's possible that I didn't have time to practice it after last night's meeting.
00:03:01Uh, it is written for both hands.
00:03:04Left and right.
00:03:06I will chord.
00:03:07I told you when you asked me to help you out that I couldn't play the piano that well.
00:03:11And I can maybe give him a chord.
00:03:13Will that be all right, Frank?
00:03:14Let's try that, okay?
00:03:15Okay.
00:03:16Like a little bit more support?
00:03:18Let's take that intro.
00:03:19Chuck has invited some boy over for Saturday.
00:03:24Uh-huh.
00:03:25It's Burt Reynolds.
00:03:26Hey, uh, maybe you haven't noticed yet, flapping your mouth here, but you're burning those steaks.
00:03:32Well, I couldn't notice from hearing.
00:03:34Not that they don't need it.
00:03:35No, these are not burnt.
00:03:36I know about these steaks.
00:03:38Look at that.
00:03:39Prime.
00:03:40That one there can...
00:03:41That's yours.
00:03:41I'm going to feed that to my dog.
00:03:43Guess who's going to eat it?
00:03:44In fact, that looks a lot like my dog.
00:03:46Where'd you get this?
00:03:46Jeez.
00:03:48You're going to have the health and drug administration out here.
00:03:51Obviously.
00:03:51Chuck.
00:03:52Hi.
00:03:52Great.
00:03:54Obviously, somebody around here knows what's going on, but I'm not getting any of these things.
00:03:56Any help from this turkey?
00:03:57Larry.
00:03:58Kathleen.
00:03:59Hi.
00:03:59I'll hold it against her that you're a Yankee.
00:04:01Why don't you look after her and I'll take care of this stuff right here.
00:04:03Let's get out of here while it's getting good.
00:04:06How long you been down in Texas?
00:04:08And Reagan's been groomed.
00:04:10He's been groomed for the presidency ever since he made that Goldwater speech.
00:04:13Well, he's got a believable face.
00:04:15Such a good honest face.
00:04:18I think they've really got a lot of class.
00:04:19And this I like.
00:04:21You work with Chuck?
00:04:22Yeah, we work together downtown.
00:04:24Law offices down there.
00:04:27You're a teacher, though, you said.
00:04:28With Nancy.
00:04:29Oh, yeah.
00:04:30Yeah.
00:04:31Skyline High School.
00:04:32Okay.
00:04:32Let me ask you a little historical question, then, all right?
00:04:35Yeah?
00:04:35A little quiz here.
00:04:36Okay.
00:04:37Who do the following people have in common?
00:04:39Texas Rangers, outlaws, cowboys, Indians, cattle barons, marshals, sheriffs, bad guys,
00:04:48saloon keepers?
00:04:49Who have they got in common?
00:04:50Who do they have in common?
00:04:51This guy's as famous as anybody in the whole history of the West, or the country, for that
00:04:55matter.
00:04:56I don't know.
00:04:58You're a teacher, and you don't know?
00:05:00A history teacher, and you don't know?
00:05:02Well, tell me.
00:05:03Samuel Colt.
00:05:04The gunman.
00:05:06Right, of course.
00:05:07Colt revolvers.
00:05:07Sure.
00:05:08Texas Rangers down here were issued Colts in the 1830s.
00:05:12.40 caliber, 9-inch, 5-shot Colt revolver, and then, you know what the Colt single-action
00:05:18.45, 1873, it was called?
00:05:20I don't know anything about guns.
00:05:22The Equalizer?
00:05:23The Peacemaker?
00:05:25The gun that won the West?
00:05:26I never heard of it.
00:05:27You can't possibly begin to understand history down here unless you know something about
00:05:32Colt revolvers.
00:05:33Well, how come you come to know so much?
00:05:35They teach you this at law school?
00:05:38I collect antique guns.
00:05:40Really?
00:05:42Yeah.
00:05:43You know something?
00:05:44Your kids could learn a whole lot of history from just one of my old guns, I'll bet you.
00:05:48I mean, it's always been the case that the guy who had the best weapon was the guy who
00:05:55changed the course of history.
00:05:57Yeah, you may have something there.
00:06:00Would you teach them?
00:06:01I mean, would you come to one of my classes, maybe?
00:06:03You know, just bring a couple of your old guns, you know, talk to them about the old
00:06:06West.
00:06:07You think they'd be interested in that?
00:06:08Oh, I know.
00:06:09They'd love it.
00:06:10Well, you got yourself a deal, lady.
00:06:13Oh, wow.
00:06:18This takes me back.
00:06:39What?
00:06:40This takes me back.
00:06:42Yes.
00:06:43Who are the family?
00:06:45We are the family.
00:06:46We're family.
00:07:00We are the family.
00:07:03We're family.
00:07:05We are the family.
00:07:40Now, Samuel Colt's first revolver was this 1836 Texas Patterson, .40 caliber, 9-inch barrel, and it was a single action, which means when I cock it like that, the trigger drops down, and you're ready to go.
00:08:10Now, this, as an improvement on the single shot, sort of musket-type gun, is just inestimable, because what it meant was that you had five shots right away, and there was five Indians, right?
00:08:52The smallest barrel that was used, and that was because of the necessity of having a quick draw, you know, which, excuse me, which you've all seen.
00:09:00Now, that just meant that you were clearing your holster a little bit more quickly, and you might have heard of Wyatt Earp, Dodge City Sheriff.
00:09:06He had an 11-inch barrel, a special one that was made by Ned Buntline for him, and he used that for accuracy.
00:09:14And he swore that with that 11-inch barrel, he was just as quick as anybody else, and he did a pretty decent job of proving it, too, I might add.
00:09:20Now, this basic gun was known as the Peacemaker, kind of tended to subtle arguments, the Equalizer, Judge Colt and his jury of six.
00:09:30It was really a very important force in the, uh, in the history of the Old West, in the history of Texas.
00:09:38And, actually, this gun is not very much different than the kind of gun you'll see on any Dallas patrolman today.
00:09:45I hope not too many of you get a chance to look at that up close, but I guess you'd have to say Samuel Colt's influence is incredible
00:09:51when you think that the police are still using guns very much like these.
00:09:54Okay, hold it. That's all we have time for, but I'm sure we'd all like to thank Mr. Keeler.
00:10:02Okay?
00:10:08Mr. Keeler, will you be coming back to see us?
00:10:11Well, I sure would like to.
00:10:13I'm sure Mr. Keeler is very busy, Tonga. We'll have to see.
00:10:17Okay, go ahead.
00:10:19It's really, really good.
00:10:21Thank you very much.
00:10:22I enjoyed it.
00:10:23Well, nice to see you.
00:10:23I really appreciate it.
00:10:26How about having dinner with me tonight?
00:10:29Hey, Miss Sullivan.
00:10:30Well, I don't know. I'm really busy right now.
00:10:33I'm not.
00:10:34Well, how about the weekend?
00:10:36Bet you've never been to the Texas State Fair, have you?
00:10:39We get a day off for it, actually.
00:10:41I want to take you.
00:10:43Please?
00:10:45Are we going to refight the Civil War, Kathleen?
00:10:50Well, all right.
00:10:53Okay.
00:10:54Okay.
00:10:54Go and courtin', go and courtin', if you find it hard to break the eyes.
00:11:00Go and courtin', go and courtin', here's a little feminine advice.
00:11:06Roll your eyes and beam a little sigh.
00:11:09Grunt, groan, when you are about to die.
00:11:12That is what's known as emotin', go and courtin', go and courtin', and go and courtin', go and courtin'.
00:11:22Stop. Let's stop. Right there.
00:11:23Okay.
00:11:24Okay.
00:11:25Okay.
00:11:25She'll sing the next line as you cuddle up.
00:11:29Come on, Lindsay.
00:11:30Yeah, you cuddle up.
00:11:32She moves away.
00:11:33Okay.
00:11:34Okay.
00:11:34Then, you've got that real good.
00:11:37All right.
00:11:37Then the strategy comes into play.
00:11:39Okay.
00:11:40Once again, from the beginning?
00:11:41Yeah.
00:11:41Okay.
00:11:42Well, like this, Millie?
00:11:44You've got to wait for her, Caleb.
00:11:50There's lots of things you've got to know.
00:11:53Be sure the parlor light is low.
00:11:56You sidle up and squeeze her hand.
00:11:58Let me tell you fellas that it's grand.
00:12:02Howdy, folks.
00:12:04Welcome to the State Fair of Texas.
00:12:10So there we go with the up, round, flip it over and around, get a splash spin, put a triple
00:12:16up in the air, bring it up, and then shoot it up, over and around, and catch it under
00:12:21the leg, over the shoulder, and fire it up, around, and make it flip up in the air, back
00:12:28down in your hand, work it over here, flexing.
00:12:30Sometimes you get a flat spin to where it'll jump up in the air, and work it over, and back
00:12:37into it.
00:12:38Ladies and gentlemen, there ain't no pace like Texas.
00:12:41And there's what it's all about there.
00:12:49What do you shoot with this thing, anyway?
00:12:53Take my lady and put ketamine in it.
00:12:56Is that all right?
00:12:56And, like I said, it'll bring down anything you like.
00:12:59Tigers, elephants, cattle, anything.
00:13:04Anything.
00:13:05Here I am.
00:13:06Hey, I wonder what happened to you.
00:13:08I've never been this close to a gun.
00:13:10This is just to put animals to sleep with.
00:13:12Nothing to get excited about.
00:13:14John, thanks a lot.
00:13:15You bet.
00:13:15Have a nice day.
00:13:16Let's go look at the sheep.
00:13:17All right.
00:13:34So, how was it?
00:13:47It was okay.
00:13:48I told him I was getting over somebody else
00:13:51and I didn't want to get involved.
00:13:53He didn't want to get involved?
00:13:54Who said he wants to get involved?
00:13:55You know what he wants.
00:13:57Well, he's going to be disappointed.
00:14:00And I wouldn't mind going out with him occasionally
00:14:01and having a good time.
00:14:03There's nothing wrong with that, is there?
00:14:04Well, obviously there is.
00:14:06I didn't say a word.
00:14:10Oh, look, hello.
00:14:11Hi, Noreen, hi.
00:14:13How are you doing?
00:14:13Hi, baby.
00:14:14Hello.
00:14:24Hello?
00:14:24Hello?
00:14:26Mom!
00:14:26Hi!
00:14:27Hi!
00:14:27How are you?
00:14:28Very good.
00:14:29Oh, I'm really fine.
00:14:31What a surprise.
00:14:32Yeah, I got your letter.
00:14:34Oh, good.
00:14:34But I figured we would surprise you with a call.
00:14:37Oh, God, this is really nice.
00:14:39Let me get it more comfortable.
00:14:40Hold on.
00:14:41Yeah.
00:14:42Oh, wow.
00:14:43How are things?
00:14:44Really fine.
00:14:45Good.
00:14:46Good.
00:14:46How do you like your name?
00:14:47Good.
00:14:48The school is immense.
00:14:49I've made friends with one of the teachers here.
00:14:51Oh, that's nice.
00:14:52And I go to her house every now and then.
00:14:54Oh, that's good.
00:14:55Like, like family, like.
00:14:56You know, feel more at home.
00:14:58Mm-hmm.
00:14:58It makes a big difference.
00:15:00And this past Saturday, I went to the state fair with a friend of theirs.
00:15:04Yeah.
00:15:05Male or female?
00:15:06It's a man.
00:15:07Well, I have to keep tabs on you a little bit, even though you're far away.
00:15:15Yeah.
00:15:15Yeah?
00:15:15Nothing serious.
00:15:17Nothing serious?
00:15:18No.
00:15:18Okay.
00:15:19Okay.
00:15:19What does he work at?
00:15:21Um, he's an attorney.
00:15:22Oh, very nice.
00:15:24Yeah.
00:15:25Very good.
00:15:25You're in with the right kind of people, it seems.
00:15:27He seems to think so.
00:15:28Oh, he does, huh?
00:15:30Thinks a lot of himself.
00:15:31Yes.
00:15:31Oh.
00:15:33Very good.
00:15:34Very good.
00:15:35Mm.
00:15:35How is everybody?
00:15:36Everyone is fine here.
00:15:38How's dad?
00:15:39Dad is fine.
00:15:40He's just waiting here to talk to you, his own little girl.
00:15:44Okay, love.
00:15:45So, listen, take care of yourself.
00:15:46Okay.
00:15:47Okay.
00:15:47I'll be in touch.
00:15:48Okay, and be good.
00:15:49Okay.
00:15:50Okay, Kathleen.
00:15:51Bye-bye for now.
00:15:52Bye-bye.
00:15:52Bye-bye.
00:15:54Hello, Kathleen.
00:15:55Hi.
00:15:56Oh, good to see you.
00:15:57How are you?
00:15:58Fine, great.
00:15:59Oh, it's so good to hear you.
00:16:01I have to tell you something.
00:16:02What have you got to tell me now, love?
00:16:03Um, I've been going to Mass.
00:16:05Oh, my God.
00:16:07Miracles will never cease.
00:16:08She's going to Mass.
00:16:09Oh, God.
00:16:10Oh, that's good.
00:16:11Yeah, well, my mum says that's good.
00:16:13Well, that is...
00:16:15Yes, yes, there's no question there about that.
00:16:16But, you know, we knew you were a little lax while you were away in college.
00:16:19Yeah.
00:16:19All I can see is it makes us feel so happy that you sound so contented and, you know,
00:16:25well, you may sound a little choked up now, but you're a good girl and just keep up to,
00:16:30you know, the way you were brought up and that's all.
00:16:33Then we'll have nothing to worry about.
00:16:35Okay, love.
00:16:35So, listen, there are always no thoughts.
00:16:37We love you very much.
00:16:38Thank you very much.
00:16:39Oh, I love you too, Daddy.
00:16:40Give us a call.
00:16:41Whenever you get a chance, we'll drop us a line.
00:16:43Okay.
00:16:44Yes.
00:16:45Okay.
00:16:45So, I'll be talking to you again real soon.
00:16:48Okay, sleep good, okay?
00:16:50Good night, darling.
00:16:50Bye-bye-bye.
00:16:51Bye.
00:16:53Good to hear our voice, wasn't it?
00:16:54Oh, good God, yes.
00:16:55Yeah.
00:16:55Well, we never had to worry about her, so we won't.
00:16:58Unfortunately, it's true, yeah.
00:16:59Yeah, we won't worry.
00:17:00Well, it's great to hear you.
00:17:01Okay?
00:17:01So, she's all right.
00:17:02Yeah.
00:17:02Okay?
00:17:03Okay?
00:17:03Nancy tells me you're saying a little bit of Kathleen.
00:17:27Oh, you know me, Chuck.
00:17:28Always a gentleman.
00:17:29Give a lady a little time, and she'll blossom.
00:17:31Good to go.
00:17:37Dan.
00:17:38Taking off?
00:17:39Congratulations.
00:17:39I'm sorry I can't make it anymore.
00:17:40Oh, it's all right.
00:17:40See you later.
00:17:42Take care of my man.
00:17:43Oh, okay.
00:17:43Let's see.
00:17:44Take care of my man.
00:17:45No, no, no.
00:17:46Thank you very much.
00:17:47No, no.
00:17:48Come on.
00:17:49Sue, I think we have a patient.
00:17:50I have a drink.
00:17:51A little side drink, you know?
00:17:51I'm coming with your tequila.
00:17:53Tequila?
00:17:53Oh, thank you, man.
00:17:54Oh, thank you.
00:17:55Come on, you only get married once, or just a little drink?
00:17:57You'll be thankful for us, yeah.
00:17:58It'll be all right.
00:18:00Yeah, we have a special.
00:18:01You can drink that stuff.
00:18:02You're straight down, straight down the hatchery.
00:18:04Yeah, yeah.
00:18:05A little side.
00:18:06A little side.
00:18:07You know how to do that.
00:18:08You know how to do that.
00:18:09There you go.
00:18:10Yeah, yeah.
00:18:10It's kind of an experience here.
00:18:11I've seen it, and I've seen it in the commercials.
00:18:13He has seen it, all right?
00:18:15Oh, hey!
00:18:16Oh, hey!
00:18:18Excellent.
00:18:19Oh, hey!
00:18:19I love it.
00:18:20Oh, hey!
00:18:20Hey!
00:18:21Hey, wait a minute.
00:18:21Calvary!
00:18:22Calvary!
00:18:22Calvary!
00:18:23Calvary!
00:18:24Calvary!
00:18:24I don't want my Baptist mom to hear about this.
00:18:26Oh, god.
00:18:27I don't want you to tell me.
00:18:28I don't want my Baptist mom to hear about this.
00:18:40You're only going to tell me.
00:18:58Oh my. And isn't she pretty, huh?
00:19:15Yeah, that's our pretty poison. But we've got a challenger.
00:19:19Sit on my face.
00:19:21We have got a challenger.
00:19:24For the referee, let's bring out Sweet Shari Amour.
00:19:47All right. Sweet Shari.
00:19:51All right. Is there any fella out there who wants to help little lady in here?
00:19:58Ladies, go get yourself a manager.

00:20:06This is a grudge match. These girls don't like each other.
00:20:09They're wanting to pull away a championship, and you're going to help them do it.
00:20:13Can I hear from the marijuana section?
00:20:15I knew you were out there somewhere.
00:20:19All right. They look like they're about ready.
00:20:21We're going to put them in the ring.

00:22:24Have you been busy?
00:22:36Yeah, I've been up late almost every night with some trying cases.
00:22:41We'll take turns, okay?
00:22:43Sure.
00:22:44I'll go first.
00:22:45Old movie stars.
00:22:46Well, that's easy.
00:22:47John Wayne.
00:22:48What?
00:22:49At least he was a real man.
00:22:51I mean, better than the faggots you see in the movies these days.
00:22:54And you?
00:22:55Alan Ladd.
00:22:57Why?
00:22:58Haven't you seen Shane on TV?
00:23:00I mean, he didn't want to fight anymore, but he could if he had to.
00:23:04He looked so sad and lonely.
00:23:06Such nice eyes.
00:23:24Look at that.
00:23:31You have a nice body, you know?
00:23:32Nothing wrong with that.
00:23:38I mean, you shouldn't be ashamed of that.
00:23:40You have a nice body.
00:23:41I'll tell you what's real special about Texas, and that is that this is still the frontier.
00:23:49And what I mean by that is that on the frontier in the olden days in the west, on a day-to-day basis, people had to drop on their courage and their resources, their inner resources, in order to just exist from day to day, just live.
00:24:03In the last ten years or so, there's been this tremendous buildup in government-supported welfare-type programs.
00:24:10I think it's wrong.
00:24:11I think it's contrary to the frontier spirit.
00:24:13I think it causes people to lose their self-respect.
00:24:16And I think it's something that we in Texas have been really loath to accept, and we've kind of stayed away from.
00:24:23If I'm living in New York City, I ought to be on welfare.
00:24:26I'm going to make as much money as I would working.
00:24:28He's not just like my father.
00:24:30Oh, he must be a very fine man.
00:24:33He's an anachronism.
00:24:35My sister Mary Ellen, she calls him a beached male, not to his face.
00:24:40He's very strict with us girls.
00:24:43I would have been, too.
00:24:46Would you like to have some dessert?
00:24:53Just wait.
00:24:54Um, I like that, Lisa.
00:25:08Hey, we come along with you.
00:25:14Hey, hey.
00:25:15Hey, we come along with you.
00:25:20Hey, hey.
00:25:22Take me home tonight, darling.
00:25:29It's not too strong, but the feeling's right.
00:25:32It's too intense, too.
00:25:34We've been trying to find you guys.
00:25:36Hey, we come along with you.
00:25:40Hey, we come along with you tonight.
00:26:01Baby, take me real with you tonight, baby.
00:26:10Take me down with you tonight.
00:26:17I can't wait to take a chance.
00:26:20Let's get out of here, one more handy.
00:26:24You can just continue going on.
00:26:25Stir down there.
00:26:26I'm going to take you right home, just where I picked you up.
00:26:29And what do you think this is?
00:26:30Some kind of second-class operation?
00:26:34What a night, huh?
00:26:36Larry, I had a really good time.
00:26:38Oh, it was wonderful.
00:26:39A good dancer, you know?
00:26:40Enjoyed it.
00:26:41Well, are you surprised?
00:26:42No, no, not a bit.
00:26:43Good dancer yourself.
00:26:44Thank you, thank you.
00:26:45I think we danced well together.
00:26:47Hey, I should at least walk in.
00:26:48Um, it's not necessary, really.
00:26:50Kathleen!
00:26:51This is a safe neighborhood.
00:26:52I thought you'd at least ask me in for a cup of coffee to get home on.
00:26:55You did?
00:26:56Well, it's late, and I'll get a good night to sleep.
00:26:58I'll be a wreck tomorrow morning.
00:26:59You know.
00:27:00Okay?
00:27:01Bye.
00:27:02There's a warning.
00:27:06Yeah, there was no need for them.
00:27:07Okay.
00:27:08It was something we had.
00:27:09It's okay.
00:27:10Come on.
00:27:11The power of me…
00:27:12You, I did not.
00:27:13Come on.
00:27:14No.
00:27:14I was trying to pull up.
00:27:15That will never been…
00:27:16The power of me.
00:27:17Nope.
00:27:18Was going on.
00:27:19I didn't stop sig.
00:27:21Hello?
00:27:36Kathleen, it's Larry.
00:27:38Larry, hi, how are you?
00:27:40What are you doing?
00:27:41I was just out the door to Mass, actually, when you called.
00:27:44What are you doing after?
00:27:45Well, I'm going to be busy, actually.
00:27:47I have some papers to look over.
00:27:49and just getting ready for the week in general, you know.
00:27:53Kathleen, do something for me, please.
00:27:55It's really kind of special, and I'd appreciate it.
00:27:57What?
00:27:58Straight over here after church.
00:28:00I'm sure you haven't eaten or have something really special I want to share.
00:28:04What is it?
00:28:05I'm not saying any more.
00:28:07Please say you'll come.
00:28:09I'm going to be real hurt if you don't.
00:28:11I want it all to be a surprise.
00:28:14Please.
00:28:14Well, all right.
00:28:17I'll come.
00:28:18You've obviously got something up your sleeve.
00:28:21Great.
00:28:22You won't regret it.
00:28:31Oh, hazing grace, how sweet the sound.
00:28:40In sync.
00:28:41Now the cowboys have a third down and sixth.
00:28:44And the shotgun situation in effect.
00:28:46That defense in Moran.
00:28:47Motion for Butch Johnson.
00:28:49Snap his back.
00:28:50White retreats.
00:28:50Goes right side.
00:28:51Man is open.
00:28:52Caught.
00:28:53Jay Saldy up to the 37th first down.
00:28:5612-yard game.
00:28:59Well, there is evidence of the...
00:29:02The body of Christ.
00:29:02The body of Christ.
00:29:02I'm in.
00:29:03The body of Christ.
00:29:03The blood of Christ.
00:29:06The blood of Christ.
00:29:08The body of Christ.
00:29:09I'm in.
00:29:11He's at the 25.
00:29:13He's at the 10.
00:29:14Hill strolls in.
00:29:16Touchdown.
00:29:17A pass of 63 yards.
00:29:19Well, you've just eaten the finest venison steak that can be had anywhere.
00:29:32Down by me yesterday.
00:29:35Down near Laredo.
00:29:36A deer.
00:29:38It was great, wasn't it?
00:29:39Oh.
00:29:41No.
00:29:42Now, you just said how good it was.
00:29:44I know.
00:29:44It was good.
00:29:45I'm glad you told me now, because if you'd told me before, I probably wouldn't have eaten it.
00:29:49Listen, I've got some fresh fruit, and I've got some nice camembert.
00:29:54Just right.
00:29:55Would you like a little cheese, man?
00:29:56No.
00:29:57No, that's not necessary.
00:29:58You're sure?
00:29:59Yeah, I've had plenty.
00:30:01Well, why don't we just move on over here, make ourselves comfortable, finish our wine,
00:30:05maybe listen to a little music.
00:30:07Okay?
00:30:08All right.
00:30:24Okay.
00:30:26This is yours, and that's mine.
00:30:29And this is ours.
00:30:38And here's to a new culinary experience for you.
00:30:42Venison.
00:30:43Okay.
00:30:49You know, this thing of hunting and having venison to eat is a really special thing for me,
00:30:54and it's something that I, well, I often, in fact, do by myself, just because it's so special.
00:31:02I'm just really happy that you were able to come over and enjoy it with me.
00:31:05And I like to think that it's a way, maybe I'm not too good at phrasing things, uh, directly.
00:31:13Well, it's not necessary.
00:31:14Well, I just want to tell you, it's a really special experience for me, and I wanted to show you somehow that you're really special to me.
00:31:21And I don't know how to do that, because sometimes you seem kind of standoffish, you know?
00:31:29I do?
00:31:30Yeah.
00:31:31Well, I don't mean to.
00:31:33Really?
00:31:33I mean, it's like, it's almost like you're afraid of something.
00:31:36It's like, like you're so warm, and you're so, so giving and open and friendly, and I see you with the kids, and you're so sensitive, you know, to their feelings and needs, and you're so open to them.
00:31:48And I feel you being that way with me sometimes, and then it's like you catch yourself or something, and you just, wham, down comes the, down comes the wall.
00:31:57It's like you're afraid of something.
00:31:59I mean, obviously, you couldn't be afraid of me, but it's just, it's like you're afraid of something in yourself, or?
00:32:05No, no, no, not at all.
00:32:06It's just, like I told you before, you know, I don't really want to get involved with anyone right now.
00:32:13That's all it is.
00:32:14It's very simple.
00:32:14I just wish there was some way for me to communicate to you, or express to you how special you are, Timmy.
00:32:21Oh, but you have.
00:32:23I mean, not just today.
00:32:25You've been very kind.
00:32:27Well, I'd like to be a little bit more than kind, lady, I think.
00:32:44Now, let me stop.
00:32:54Larry?
00:32:55Larry.
00:32:57Let me go, okay?
00:33:00Larry?
00:33:02Please don't.
00:33:04Let me go.
00:33:05Larry.
00:33:06Let me, let me up.
00:33:08What's wrong with you?
00:33:10Pissed up.
00:33:11What are you acting like that for?
00:33:13Let me go.
00:33:14No, what are you acting like that for?
00:33:16What do you think?
00:33:18Let's go right now.
00:33:24Stop it! Stop it!
00:33:35It's just slightly maladjusted.
00:33:38I'd like to help you with that.
00:33:41I'd like to share it with you, talk to you about it.
00:33:47Do you have any sexual fantasies, maybe?
00:33:54May I go now, please?
00:34:00Let's just try this once more.
00:34:02This time's just for you.
00:34:08It's just for you.
00:34:16Yeah.
00:34:20That's what you say.
00:34:24You're using the police.
00:34:25You're using the police or the police.
00:34:28You're using the police.
00:34:30I got to tell you about it.
00:34:31Here.
00:34:59Kathleen?
00:35:00what are you doing it's not morning yet is it hey you're welcome to stay here
00:35:07it's such a good girl I saved you some fresh fruit for breakfast
00:35:11no thanks it's real good sure sit yourself drive safely now
00:35:30oh
00:35:50what do you got here
00:35:52Hi, can I help you?
00:36:07Some things that I need to find out if we're going to do anything to this guy.
00:36:11I'm going to have to ask you some questions, I'm afraid,
00:36:13but I'll try to make it as painless as I possibly can, all right?
00:36:16Okay.
00:36:17Then afterwards, I'll take you down to the hospital.
00:36:19We'll let the doc check and make sure you're okay.
00:36:20Okay?
00:36:23I know my way to the hospital. I can drive myself.
00:36:26Well, I'd really prefer to drive you, if you don't mind.
00:36:29You don't have to go through that trouble. Really, I'm fine now.
00:36:32Kathleen, I'm afraid that for the next few hours, you are walking evidence,
00:36:37and it's my job to protect it.
00:36:50I'm spreading these out now. Just relax nice and easy.
00:36:54Kathleen, this is Sue James' number at the Rape Crisis Center.
00:37:08Kathleen, this is Sue James' number at the Rape Crisis Center.
00:37:23She's good people, and she'll take care of you.
00:37:25And you know where we are.
00:37:26Take care.
00:37:28Take care.
00:37:58Take care.
00:38:28Skyline High School.
00:38:30Hello.
00:38:31Um, this is Kathleen Sullivan.
00:38:34I'm calling in sick today.
00:38:36Um, I have a stomach virus.
00:38:39I should be in tomorrow.
00:38:40Tuesday morning?
00:38:42Yes.
00:38:42Okay, take care.
00:38:44This is a situation in which you're going to do yourself, your soul, your whole life, grave harm, and even toying with any idea of vengeance.
00:39:09And what you have to do is, in time, I'm not saying this right now, but what you have to remind yourself in a panic moment is that there is a providence behind what's going on, and this man is in serious trouble, spiritually, emotionally, and he's going to be in great legal trouble.
00:39:31What you have to do, in time, what you have to do, in time, is to forgive him, pray for him.
00:39:38Kathleen, that's hard.
00:39:39I know it's hard.
00:39:44I'm again saying give yourself time, but in a troubled moment, it's easy to panic and forget anything that you've ever learned, anything that's ever been important to you.
00:39:54And that's a time when you can destroy yourself, your soul, if you're not careful.
00:40:00I want to get punished!
00:40:02That's, again, that's up to God. That's up to God.
00:40:06That's not our role to punish people.
00:40:10Christ's whole life is that we have to pray for people in trouble.
00:40:15Now, that, again, is going to take you time.
00:40:18But you don't know what kind of punishment he might already be going through right now.
00:40:22You're shaken by it. If the man has any heart...
00:40:25I mean, you were attractive to him, weren't you?
00:40:27Wasn't there something attractive about the man?
00:40:32I guess there's a possibility that you might be pregnant in something like this.
00:40:36Kathleen, just try to be realistic about it.
00:40:39Again, the question of your faith.
00:40:42Believing that children are just these little wonderful miracles,
00:40:47and miracles happen because of God.
00:40:50So, even at the darkest, if that's what's happened...
00:40:56I've been to the hospital.
00:40:58Already taken care of that. Thank you.
00:41:20Are you sure you want this all cut off?
00:41:29Sure.
00:41:30Yes.
00:41:31Okay.
00:41:32Okay.
00:41:33Okay.
00:41:34We're going to get rid of it nearly as far as far as well.
00:41:39It's fine.
00:41:40Nice.
00:41:41I think we have to look at the idea that it's just an opportunity and we've got to take
00:42:11the event.
00:42:12Morning, coach.
00:42:13Good morning.
00:42:14So how's it going?
00:42:19Pretty well.
00:42:20My last class is the type that laughs every time I say the word organism.
00:42:24Kathleen?
00:42:25Kathleen?
00:42:26When did you cut your hair?
00:42:29Yesterday.
00:42:30You okay?
00:42:31I'm fine.
00:42:32How are you?
00:42:33You had some bad news?
00:42:34No.
00:42:35Are you folks okay?
00:42:36How are you, Jim?
00:42:37I'm fine.
00:42:38Kathleen, it looks good.
00:42:39It really does.
00:42:40It's cute.
00:42:41It suits you.
00:42:42It really is.
00:42:43You'll get used to it.
00:42:44Kathleen?
00:42:45Oh, my God.
00:42:46You look terrible.
00:42:47What happened to her head?
00:42:48Looks like those Indians we were talking about got a whole load.
00:42:49Pretty sexy, huh?
00:42:50Yeah, it is, but it looked better before.
00:42:51Back when it was long and sexy.
00:42:52I'm going to ask for your opinion.
00:42:53Keep it to yourself, Mr. Neal.
00:42:54Same goes for you, too.
00:42:55Tonda, you're sick of this late business.
00:42:56Your sons aren't here as though you're coming to a nightclub.
00:42:57I'm sorry, I'm just light.
00:42:58Get the gum out of your mouth.
00:42:59I'll just put it in.
00:43:00Get it out.
00:43:01If you have any problems, you know whose office you can go to.
00:43:02What's it gonna be?
00:43:03It's going out.
00:43:04I'll just put it in.
00:43:05Get it out.
00:43:06If you have any problems, you know whose office you can go to.
00:43:08What's it gonna be?
00:43:09It's going out.
00:43:10It's going out.
00:43:11Go to page 126.
00:43:12Go to page 126.
00:43:13You're not going to the house.
00:43:14This is the house.
00:43:15It's going out.
00:43:17I'm sorry, I'm just going out.
00:43:19You haven't put it in.
00:43:20It's going out.
00:43:21It's going out.
00:43:22Go to page 126.
00:43:23I'm sorry.
00:43:24You're not going out.
00:43:25Tonda, I'm sick of this late business.
00:43:26Your son's in here as though you're coming to a nightclub.
00:43:28I'm sorry, I'm just light.
00:43:30Get the gum out of your mouth.
00:43:31I'll just put it in.
00:43:32Get it out.
00:43:34If you have any problems, you know whose office you can go to.
00:43:35What's it gonna be?
00:43:36It's going out.
00:43:38What were the four cattle trails running through Texas?
00:43:46You.
00:43:48You mean West Texas?
00:43:49Any part of Texas.
00:43:52Uh, goodnight loving?
00:43:55Do you have gum in your mouth?
00:43:57Yes, ma'am.
00:43:58Get it out.
00:44:00That goes for anybody else in here.
00:44:08I'm glad you got Mike Stone on that thing.
00:44:19Got it squared right away.
00:44:21Yeah, Stoney's a good man.
00:44:22How's that you got?
00:44:23Yealy.
00:44:25Yeah, you Yealy's are surprising me.
00:44:28I hear you're still seeing Kathleen.
00:44:30You make any progress?
00:44:31Gentleman never discusses details of his sex life, Chuck.
00:44:34Even you ought to know that.
00:44:36It wouldn't be fair to the girl.
00:44:39Well, we're loving them and leaving them Larry.
00:44:41Well, it's better than not loving them at all, like you all married, man.
00:44:46It's not that I don't believe you, Kathleen.
00:44:48I do.
00:44:49And it's up to you to pursue this if you want to.
00:44:51Juries are funny animals.
00:44:52But we can't take it to them.
00:44:54There's no real evidence.
00:44:56All we have is your word and the fact that intercourse did take place.
00:45:00But you admit that you were not a virgin before all this started.
00:45:03You'd been out with this guy on dates before.
00:45:04You went voluntarily to his apartment at night where he cooked you a meal and you shared a bottle of wine together.
00:45:11You said that you screamed and struggled, but he lives in the middle of an apartment complex and nobody heard anything.
00:45:16You spent six hours with him.
00:45:18You had intercourse twice.
00:45:20He even asked you to spend the rest of the night with him, but then he didn't prevent you from leaving.
00:45:23This guy is a respectable, professional man with no criminal record.
00:45:29Look, Kathleen, even if you did get it into court, the defense would rip you to pieces.
00:45:33They'd start out by ridiculing you.
00:45:35A girl who's been scorned after a one-night stand.
00:45:39Promiscuous.
00:45:39And before they were finished, they'd be calling you a whore.
00:45:42Are you ready for that?
00:45:46I didn't have to come over here and tell you all this, Kathleen, but you're a nice girl,
00:45:50and I just really don't think you know what you're letting yourself in for.
00:46:01Take care.
00:46:01Take care.
00:46:31Let's go.
00:46:32Hello, Kathleen.
00:46:33It's Larry.
00:46:34Listen, I noticed you left your shawl over at my house.
00:46:37I thought I'd give you a call, see if I could get it back to you.
00:46:39I'd be happy to meet up with you later and bring it over anywhere you like.
00:46:43Or maybe later on in the week we could have dinner and I could bring it in.
00:46:47That's easier for you.
00:46:51The real West wasn't where or when.
00:46:54It was who.
00:46:55It was people.
00:46:57Real people.
00:46:57At one time, one out of every hundred Americans was involved in the opening of the West.
00:47:04There was glory in what they did.
00:47:06Just in getting there, there was glory.
00:47:09There was tragedy, too.
00:47:10Because someone was there first.
00:47:15Lights.
00:47:19As far as that man was concerned, we were all illegal aliens.
00:47:23We'll take that tragedy up in the next lesson.
00:47:35There was more Indian, Mexican, and European blood shed in Texas than in any other place.
00:47:41Casualties were terrible.
00:47:45Rape, pillage, murder.
00:47:49And Texas was not settled.
00:47:51It was fought over and finally conquered in a race war.
00:47:55Remember what Mr. Keeler told you, the man with the old revolvers.
00:47:59How important guns were to our history.
00:48:02That old Indian chief knew it and you should know it.
00:48:04When we, as a people, won our independence with guns, preserved the Union with guns, settled strikes with guns.
00:48:19And even now, we think that we can protect ourselves with guns.
00:48:24We can solve all of our problems with guns.
00:48:28Preserve peace with more guns.
00:48:30As a nation, we're in love with guns.
00:48:51Excuse me.
00:48:54Hey, Kathleen, could you take over rehearsal tonight?
00:48:57Nancy, I'm busy.
00:48:58Oh, shoot.
00:49:00I knew the minute you'd get a man, I'd lose you.
00:49:02What did you say?
00:49:04Well, you and Larry.
00:49:04What about me and Larry?
00:49:07Nothing.
00:49:07I mean, I know you.
00:49:08What has he said?
00:49:10Nothing.
00:49:10We just assumed.
00:49:12He just assumed.
00:49:13Hey, I'm sorry.
00:49:14Does that feel comfortable to you?
00:49:37No.
00:49:37Okay.
00:49:38Let's do it one more time, okay?
00:49:40Let's do it one more time, okay?
00:49:40Let's do it.
00:49:41Okay?
00:49:41Let's do it one more time, okay?
00:49:42Let's go.
00:50:12Hey, how you guys?
00:50:17Hey, Larry, how you doing?
00:50:18Hey, it should be nice to be on our show.
00:50:21What, I missed something?
00:50:22Yeah, we got a new member.
00:50:23Hey, a cute one. You ought to check her out.
00:50:24She's a real cutie.
00:50:25You've never seen Masterson move in on something so fast in your life.
00:50:28Man, we've had women before, so we'll never make it.
00:50:30Come and go.
00:50:31Well, I hope this one stays.
00:50:32You ought to go check her out.
00:50:33That's good, huh?
00:50:34Come here and check it out.
00:50:34She's down on the end with a plaid shirt with Masterson.
00:50:36Walk down there and see what you think.
00:50:38I might have to have a look at that after all.
00:50:40See you later.
00:50:41Take it in.
00:50:42Let's cut out as we're speaking.
00:50:48Kathleen.
00:50:51Kathleen.
00:50:52Kathleen.
00:50:57Kathleen.
00:50:59Are you trying to kill someone out here today?
00:51:01Remember what I told you.
00:51:02Keep the gun pointed downrange at all times.
00:51:05Don't ever point it at anything you don't want to kill.
00:51:07Hey, Larry.
00:51:08Do you know the drill?
00:51:09I thought I did, Rick, but it turned out to be somebody else.
00:51:14Where can I get a gun?
00:51:15You want a new gun?
00:51:16God, God.
00:51:16God, guts and guns have made our country strong.
00:51:22Now, they're trying to take on my way.
00:51:27Yes, God, guts and guns are going to keep our country strong.
00:51:32I hope I never live to see the day.
00:51:36Now tell me, Senator, what would you do if you came home tonight and found a burglar
00:51:46stole?
00:51:47Your stereo killed your kids and raped your wife?
00:51:50Would you tell him that's a no, no, and slap him on the wrist and say, that's not nice
00:51:55to do?
00:51:56Or grab your 12-gauge shotgun and blow him clean, too?
00:52:01Here's a basic .45 automatic, held seven in the magazine, one in the chamber.
00:52:08We have a total of eight shells.
00:52:11Single action.
00:52:16Good little weapon.
00:52:17Yeah, I was wanting one just for my own personal use.
00:52:20I didn't really, you know, want to...
00:52:22Well, we're not allowed to carry him on duty.
00:52:24Well, these are tight.
00:52:25Hello, Ray.
00:52:26Bill, how are you?
00:52:27Fine, how about you?
00:52:28Fine.
00:52:29Fine, thank you.
00:52:30Good.
00:52:31Ray, this is Kathleen.
00:52:32She's a new member of our club.
00:52:33She's looking to buy a gun.
00:52:34Very good.
00:52:35Let me get it.
00:52:36I told her you could help us out.
00:52:37Bill, do you have any idea of what you might like or what do you think?
00:52:42Revolver, automatic?
00:52:43I've been shooting a Diamondback.
00:52:45Revolver, that's good.
00:52:46And I think I'd like something a little heavier.
00:52:48Bill, I'd recommend that Python.
00:52:50The Colt Python is basically the same gun, just a little bit bigger like father-son.
00:52:56Right.
00:52:57Let me get one for you, just a little bit.
00:52:59That sounds better.
00:53:00Yes, it's the Cadillac of the Colt Revolver line, the Python is.
00:53:04Same idea.
00:53:06Same family gun, and it works the same way, so you don't have any problems.
00:53:10A little heavier, a little stronger.
00:53:11It is.
00:53:12This has a really good feel.
00:53:13Just hard to beat.
00:53:14Does it feel good to you?
00:53:15I like the weight.
00:53:16Do you like the weight of it?
00:53:17A lot.
00:53:18Well, it's quite a bit heavier than the Diamondback was, so therefore we control the recall
00:53:24of it.
00:53:25Well, let me show Kathleen the one with the rubber grip on it.
00:53:28The rubber?
00:53:29I think you'd even like it even better than that.
00:53:30The rubber Pack Meyers?
00:53:31Yes, I think so.
00:53:32That's a good idea.
00:53:33Like yours?
00:53:34Yes, like my service revolver that we've been shooting.
00:53:39I think you'd even like this better.
00:53:43Well, the thing it is, with the rubber grips down south here, your hands get sweaty in
00:53:48the summer, and the gun's not slick.
00:53:51Right.
00:53:52Whereas wooden grips like that, they get slick in your hands.
00:53:54How does that grip feel?
00:53:55It's like it's not even there.
00:53:57Oh, gosh.
00:53:58Mm-hmm.
00:54:00How does it feel, Kathleen?
00:54:05It feels really good.
00:54:08And even in the wintertime, it's much better gripping.
00:54:11You know, when it's cold, you know, not only summer, but winter.
00:54:14I like this.
00:54:15It's a beautiful way of doing it.
00:54:16How much is this?
00:54:17$485.
00:54:18I know, that's expensive, but it's the perfect way of doing it.
00:54:24And I can just come in here and buy this?
00:54:27Mm-hmm.
00:54:28Do you live in Texas?
00:54:29Yeah.
00:54:30Do you?
00:54:31You're in a new world.
00:54:32This is a free country down here, Kathleen.
00:54:33Yeah, it is.
00:54:34Kathleen, where are you from, and where's your home state?
00:54:37I mean.
00:54:38Boston.
00:54:39Oh.
00:54:40Oh.
00:54:41No one.
00:54:42Oh.
00:54:43Down here, as long as you live in the state, you can buy the weapon.
00:54:46No problem.
00:54:47Mm-hmm.
00:54:48We're gonna make protection out of it, though.
00:54:49Good.
00:54:50Good.
00:54:51You like that, Kathleen?
00:54:52This is the one I want.
00:54:54Oh, yes.
00:54:55We have very liberal gun laws down here, and they don't seem to have caused any problems, Kathleen,
00:55:01so I don't see what the uproar is about trying to make them more strict.
00:55:07That gun's not gonna commit any crimes.
00:55:13What do you think about the story?
00:55:15Mm-hmm.
00:55:16Never seen anything like it.
00:55:18Nothing like it in Boston?
00:55:19No.
00:55:20Not that I've seen it.
00:55:22Unbelievable.
00:55:23It's unbelievable.
00:55:24It is.
00:55:25He's built a fabulous operation there over the years.
00:55:28Do you have time to watch the band with me?
00:55:33Yes.
00:55:34Sure do.
00:55:35Be glad to.
00:55:36Enjoy.
00:55:37Dump the empty brass out like we've been taught.
00:55:41When you dumped them before, you came to this position good, but you kept it like this.
00:55:47At that point, gravity won't let the empty hulls fall out.
00:55:51They could hang in between your grip and jam up your weapon.
00:55:54You need to turn your gun over a little bit more.
00:55:56Get your speed loader out.
00:55:58Arm extended.
00:55:59Line up two, and then the rest of them will fall right on in.
00:56:04Now, just push it on in.
00:56:07Don't try to pick the speed loader up.
00:56:08Just kind of wipe it off there.
00:56:10Ready on the right?
00:56:11Ready on the left.
00:56:17Ten seconds.
00:56:18Very good.
00:56:19Terrific.
00:56:20That's terrific.
00:56:21Okay, Kathleen.
00:56:22This is close-in drill from zone two.
00:56:24You will go on my command, okay?
00:56:25Gun.
00:56:26Very good.
00:56:27Very good.
00:56:28She's gonna ask.
00:56:29She's getting faster and it's a little pusset.
00:56:38Did you see that?
00:56:41Yeah.
00:56:42Yes.
00:56:43That is great.
00:56:49This is close-in drill from zone two.
00:56:52The important thing is, I'm going to tuck this shoulder under and tuck my head in.
00:57:05So watch, okay?
00:57:11Okay, Kathleen?
00:57:16Remember, sight picture, sight picture, sight picture, then squeeze as it's in there.
00:57:22And just think about making it go off, and it will go off.
00:57:26A very gentle pull right from the sight.
00:57:31Very good.
00:57:33You got yourself an X that time.
00:57:39Not too bad, is it?
00:57:44Damn, you're doing great.
00:57:47I wish I could get my wife to do that good.
00:57:49I could tell when you were talking through him.
00:57:55I could tell the difference.
00:57:56Yes, you see that X you got in there?
00:57:59That's very good.
00:58:00That's because you were concentrating on what you were doing.
00:58:05Remember that any time you're under a stress condition or a combat condition,
00:58:09the guy that stays calm is the one that wins.
00:58:12I watched that in Vietnam many, many times.
00:58:16You were there?
00:58:17Oh, yeah.
00:58:19But when you've got somebody pulling down on you, take your time, get your principles down.
00:58:26He will probably blow his first shot.
00:58:29If he doesn't, it doesn't make any difference anyway.
00:58:33You don't usually become that lucky.
00:58:37Okay, Kathleen, this time I want you to Mozambique the target.
00:58:40What?
00:58:42Mozambique the target.
00:58:43Two in the body, one in the head.
00:58:44That way you'll make sure he's really dead.
00:58:48On my command, go.
00:58:51Gun.
00:58:52Gun.
00:58:53Gun.
00:58:53Gun.
00:58:53Gun.
00:58:53Gun.
00:58:53Gun.
00:58:53Gun.
00:58:54Gun.
00:58:54Gun.
00:58:59Gun.
00:59:26What he carried to the Alamo we don't know.
00:59:28may be a slight modification of this, but this is the type of knife that Booyah actually
00:59:32became famous with and carried into the Texas area. From that point, the knives really became
00:59:40more of a killing and deadly weapon. They created a clip point to it and sharpened the
00:59:45top edge. And this knife was used with what they call a hammer grip. The knife was generally
00:59:50held just like you'd hold a hammer to drive nails with and was used at very close quarters.
00:59:54You would get close to your opponent, use your other hand as a defensive hand or to grab
00:59:59a hold of them if you could to draw them into you. And with the weight of the knife and the
01:00:03length, an upward puncturing stroke would slash completely up the chest area and through the
01:00:08bone or at a deflected angle through the heart. It made a very massive and deadly immediate
01:00:13killing. But the popularity of the big Booyah knives have stayed with us even today. This
01:00:18is a shortened version of a modern knife with a Booyah blade on it. It makes an ideal hunting
01:00:23type knife or a camping type knife and realistically it could be used as a very good survival type
01:00:28knife. What do you mean? It's going to be a valuable weapon to have in the next few years.
01:00:35As a survival knife. What do you mean survival? Well, when the breakdown, when the collapse
01:00:42comes. What are you talking about? Well, it's going to happen. You know, I was watching you the
01:00:50other morning on the shooting range. You're going to be real good. Yeah, thank you. I don't know
01:00:56particularly why you're wanting to learn how to use a gun. Let me tell you, in two or three years,
01:01:02you're going to have to use that gun. This is going to come in handy. Because our social society
01:01:10as it is now is going to, it's going to break at some point. Our nation, our country is weak right
01:01:17now. You know, a lot of people think that, you know, the government is going to be able to step
01:01:23in and help, you know, like they did in the 30s. The government is not going to be able to help.
01:01:29What do you think is going to happen when the federal government can't pay off welfare checks
01:01:33anymore? Every black and Mexican in this city is going to start rioting. Now, if I pointed this knife
01:01:39at you, and you knew that I was serious about it, and I asked you for that drink there, you would give it
01:01:45to me. I'll have to agree. We've been selling more combat knives and fighting type knives
01:01:53in the last year or so to people. It's, you know, you expect to sell many more.
01:01:57And this is a combat knife? That would be a survival or combat style,
01:02:01typical of the knives that are the bigger sellers in today's society.
01:02:06I wish you'd just open a school here as good an instructor as you were. You should just open a
01:02:12school here in Dallas for executive protection. You can teach them hand-to-hand combat. You can teach
01:02:17them pistol craft. It's free-less. Sure, it's not free-less. There's no discipline.
01:02:22You can look around and see what's happening in the U.S. of A. today. The schools are doing
01:02:26very well. The schools are doing very well.
01:02:28What's going on right now?
01:02:34Yeah.
01:02:35What's going on right now?
01:02:49Why?
01:02:52Good morning, ladies and gentlemen,
01:03:20and welcome to the North Texas Pistol and Revolver Club
01:03:24and this morning's combat match.
01:03:26Safety is one of our biggest concerns out here
01:03:28since we will be firing live ammunition,
01:03:30and this is considered to be a hot range.
01:03:33That means that the majority of the shooters
01:03:34will be loaded at all times.
01:03:36We haven't had any accidents
01:03:38as long as we've been shooting here,
01:03:40and we want to maintain it that way.
01:03:43There are some hostile and non-hostile targets out there.
01:03:47If you do fire on a non-hostile target,
01:03:49you will be disqualified.
01:03:51Everybody, I'm sure, understands
01:03:52that safety is the first most important thing
01:03:55in a match like this.
01:03:56All right, if there are no questions,
01:03:57then I'd like to have the first shooter up on line,
01:04:00Don Yost.
01:04:01Be sure and come up here to the line, Don.
01:04:09All right, get up in the starting position.
01:04:11All right, the commands I will give you
01:04:13will be shooter make ready,
01:04:14at which time you will load your weapon,
01:04:16then I will give you the command shooter ready,
01:04:18stand by,
01:04:20then go.
01:04:22Understood?
01:04:23All right, shooter make ready.
01:04:29Our next shooter is Larry Keeler.
01:04:33Good luck, man.
01:04:34All right, boy.
01:04:34Give me a good switch there.
01:04:36We'll see if the attorney can cheat.
01:04:38All right, stand easy, Larry.
01:04:41Thank you, Don.
01:04:41Good going.
01:04:45All right, shooter make ready.
01:04:48Good round, Don.
01:04:49Good match.
01:04:50All right, hands at your side.
01:04:53Shooters ready.
01:04:54Go!
01:04:54Go!
01:05:17It's doing pretty good.
01:05:19All right, people.
01:05:21Go!
01:05:23good run you really moved down that trail
01:05:36there's a time on that still not a bad round at all boy you sure were moving looked like you had
01:05:44wings on those feet all right let's get to the next shooter now the next shooter is kathleen
01:05:49Sullivan here to please come up on the line go for it all right sure to make ready all right
01:06:18you're ready stand by go
01:06:22wow look at the house
01:06:40that's a good run going
01:06:45she shot the rock the friendly target
01:07:14what in the world she had it running great looks like she did it on purpose
01:07:22oh that's too bad she didn't hesitate much did she
01:07:26oh now that was a real super run
01:07:28look like she shot one of our local police officers
01:07:31well that's too bad looks like that will disqualify her from this run
01:07:35i'm trying to find out if maybe she cared more for you maybe her feelings got hurt maybe you know i'm trying to find out what has changed this girl i like her
01:07:47oh i do too i'm fond of her i have a great deal of affection for her i am concerned for her mental health right now because i think she has some kind of a psychological problem
01:07:57she looks dreadful she looks to me like somebody that had something really terrible happen to her and what i want to know is did something terrible happen to kathleen
01:08:09not when she was with me what happened the last day that you had nothing out of the ordinary
01:08:13now wait a minute not your ordinary out of her ordinary
01:08:17absolutely not we had a very pleasant evening
01:08:22she was she walked out of there and said bye and that was it
01:08:26she walked out the door and i said drive safely and i'll give you a call tomorrow
01:08:30but you didn't call her tomorrow did you
01:08:32called her tuesday we were tied up on that houston case
01:08:35she knows i work hard and i'm very often tied up
01:08:39i want you to understand that i am not trying to play lawyer
01:08:43i'm not trying to say hey you're the guilty culprit you low down you've hurt this girl
01:08:47of course i'm trying to say that this sensitive
01:08:50naive
01:08:52and i will use the term innocent girl
01:08:56now wait a second little vulnerable kathleen went through a combat course where she killed
01:09:01seven silhouette targets including jumping over hurdles shooting left-handed
01:09:06speed reloading a .357 magnum revolver
01:09:09and in the end in fact she blew away the friendly figure target
01:09:14at the end like that
01:09:15that's not somebody that i consider to be innocent or
01:09:18naive that's somebody who's a killer
01:09:20and then we're talking about somebody that is either very disturbed
01:09:23or somebody that fooled us all completely
01:09:27and i don't know because she'll be like that
01:09:34okay
01:09:36haha
01:09:37hello
01:09:43and i took it off
01:09:43and accidentally
01:09:44let me stop
01:09:46and again
01:09:48i'm literally
01:09:49i can't manage this
01:09:50i can believe that
01:09:52but any time
01:09:53just
01:09:54i should
01:09:55easy
01:09:55that
01:09:57Hello.
