Record-breaker Harden still cherishing the game into 17th year

James Harden said he still cherishes the game, and the Clippers' star wants to lead youngsters by example.

00:10whether it's me scoring or me, you know, dishing the basketball, like finding ways to win.

00:15Like I cherish the game of basketball.

00:17I think sometimes we take it for granted and we just go out there and just, oh, we play basketball, you know, we get paid.

00:23But it's like actually understanding and getting better and wanting to do the right things by this game

00:26because if you do the right things, this game will give you a lot.

00:29And in the year of 17, I still want to, you know, show the young guys, like, you know, the guys that just walk past me,

00:35like, hey, I'm still doing it, I'm still a professional body, I'm going to go out there and I'm still trying to give you 50.

00:40And the longevity, hopefully the longevity speaks for itself as well, that, you know, obviously taking care of your body

00:45and doing the right things as a professional is very, very valuable in your career.
