00:00Gentlemen, here and above is legal blow. Here and above is legal blow.
00:11Obey my commands at all times. Protect yourself at all times. Good luck.
00:16You heard the ovation for Sultan Al-Muhammad fighting in his hometown.
00:20What a rush this has to be.
00:22Yeah, and his first time fighting here, like Sergio said, he fought on the Canelo Crawford undercard.
00:26And I was in Las Vegas, and you see Abel Sanchez in the corner, one of the best trainers in the sport.
00:32I used to get nervous when I was 17 years old, playing soccer at my high school in front of 10 people in the crowd.
00:37I can't imagine what this guy's feeling right now as he takes on Umesh Shabam.
00:46Abel Sanchez, Todd, he's already led seven fighters to world titles, most notably, recently, Gennady Golovkin.
00:53Dan, you heard the news this week. Triple G saying, don't shut the door quite yet.
00:58I might have another fight left in me.
01:03He's also running for the president of the World Boxing Council.
01:06Says if he wins that, he's going to retire.
01:09Good jab.
01:11All right, Al-Muhammad, a little sharp.
01:14At the end of the punch, brings it right back responsibly.
01:18I was going to say, I was more impressive with how quick he got his defense back together.
01:23Well, yeah, that's what you want whenever you're dealing with fighters from these four-round fights.
01:28The jab's going to be the main thing, but technique's going to be even more important.
01:31I like the way Siobhan's fighting, though. He's not backing down.
01:35Siobhan's actually looping the shots a lot better than the last fight.
01:38Yeah, Barker.
01:39Yeah, you know, Barker was not really setting him up right.
01:43There was no timing behind that looping shot.
01:46Siobhan, you can see that he steps in with his front foot in order to land that overhand right
01:51and not fall off balance and be vulnerable.
01:54Mike, do you get the sense now that a lot of these young fighters,
01:57instead of having Olympic dreams and wanting to win amateur titles, are turning pro earlier?
02:02Yeah, Todd, you're seeing a lot of that.
02:04You know, guys want to make money, and a lot of times the amateur style is not a body shot.
02:09Good body shot dropping, Umesh's hand down, and that opens up the hand, and here comes Sultan.
02:14Yeah, Siobhan is on queer stream right now.
02:17He's knees are buckling. He's hurt.
02:19It was that body shot, and, of course, that opens up the left hook up top.
02:22Oh, and you can see Umesh, though, not backing down.
02:25He's trying to get his offense going.
02:27He's another right hand.
02:28Ah, Muhammad's barely missing with big knockout shots.
02:31Umesh in the corner trying to fight his way out.
02:35Sultan's downstairs again, and he'll take a count.
02:39And that's it. It's over.
02:41Give him a knockout, and his second win, Sultan Al-Muhamid.
02:45That body shot made him turn his back.
02:48The referee had to stop this fight.
02:50He wanted no mass.
02:55What a great body shot from beginning.
02:57Didn't let up.
02:58Instead of flooring with speed, Al-Muhamid wanted the right shot, the precise shot, the power shot, and he got it.
03:07Yeah, that's what it does to you, right, Sergio, when you're training in the mountains of Southern California with Abel Sanchez,
03:12who has trained some pretty big punchers.
03:14We mentioned Golovkin, also Terry Norris.
03:16I met Abel Sanchez in Big Bear at Summit Gym when I was sparring Terry Norris, and yep, you got it, man.
03:23He makes champions, and he trains them hard, and of course, he digs down everything behind the jab responsibly.
03:29And look at this body shot.
03:31Boom.
03:32I say it all the time.
03:33Body shots make cowards of a saw, and you could see Siobhan just turned his back instinctively.
03:38Didn't want no more of that pain.
03:40And that shows the inexperience of Siobhan.
03:43I don't think he wanted to quit.
03:44He just thought he would get a standing A count.
03:46Instead of taking a knee, he turned his back, and when he faced the referees like,
03:50I'm ready to fight, the referee said, it's over, my friend.
03:53That's what pain does.
03:55That's what liver shots do.
03:57You don't know how to react because you're not accustomed to getting hit down there with eight-ounce gloves.
04:02And when it finally happens, you just don't know how to come back from that.
04:08Yeah, the ref really has no choice, like you said, when you turn your back.
04:11Reminds me of when Sergey Kovalev turned his back on Andre Ward in the rematch.
04:18Well, ladies and gentlemen, it could be the fight of the night.
04:21Bam Rodriguez and Puma Martinez, the second fight right out of the gate.
04:27Two undefeated world champions going toe-to-toe.
04:31Sergio, who do you like in that one?
04:32Listen, I like Bam Rodriguez, and I like it pretty convincingly,
04:36but a lot of critics, a lot of people I respect in boxing say this is going to be the fight of the night.
04:41We're going to find out.
04:43Let's make it official.
04:44Back into the ring, Thomas Driver.
04:48Ladies and gentlemen, here is the official time.
04:52Two minutes, five seconds of round number one.
04:55Our referee in charge, Edward Coyantes, stops the contest.
05:01Therefore, your winner by way of technical knockout.
05:05From Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultan El Niño Al-Mohamed.
05:15El Niño, the kid growing up in front of our eyes right here.
05:18Saudi loves them here.
05:20I like what I saw, man.
05:22Normally, when you see fighters with just one or two fights in these four-rounders,
05:26their technique is a little bit off.
05:27They fall off balance.
05:29They smother their power.
05:31But not Sultan.
05:32I love what I saw.
05:33And that's exactly what you get when you're sparring in Southern California,
05:37and you have Able City.
