Auroras Borealis and Australis are one of my favorite events, even when they aren't common and in my city the probability is very low. Still, there was an event with high chances of being seen in my city back in 1859.
This was the Carrington Event; a strong solar storm that provoked various phenomena all over the world in a magical and kind of disastrous ways.
