00:00What was Rick Pitino like in your life, man?
00:02What was those two years with him like?
00:03I tell people all the time, like, those were,
00:06and be careful when I say this, they were the
00:08worst two years,
00:10but the best two years of my life.
00:11I was always a dog, I was always hungry,
00:13but there's like a level, like another level,
00:16like another button to be pushed. That man
00:17is the master of finding whatever
00:20that is and pushing it, and pushing
00:22it. Before I got in there, he had a lot of guys
00:23transfer, because some guys just weren't
00:26like, I wasn't gonna stop.
00:28Like, you know what I mean? And he was crazy.
00:30I told everybody, I told my
00:32guy Ian Jackson, who committed there, and I
00:34was like, and Bryce, who committed there, they called
00:36me, I was like, yo, what's he like? I said, y'all better be ready.
00:38Like, I know you're a McDonald's Old American, but he's not.
00:40He ain't gonna care. He ain't gonna care. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean?
00:42Like, you gotta be ready on the day-to-day, and
00:44I have no doubt they'll succeed and do well, but for me,
00:46when I was there, like, I was still trying to prove.
00:48I was top 50, but like, I'm like, I'm trying to be top
00:5025, trying to be top 10. The NBA wasn't
00:52even a thought. It was just, how can I get there and make
00:54the rotation and play, and
00:55then my second year, it just took off.
01:00shoot my first year. That's crazy. Him and
01:02you know Ralph Willard? Yeah. Yeah,
01:03they helped me, you know, change my jump shot, get
01:05Arkham my jump shot, and yeah, but that was
01:08it was amazing. It really helped grow, like, the
01:10dog out of you.
