Hollywood stars like Mark Hamill, Eugene Levy and James Woods are among the people who have had to evacuate their homes amid the wildfires that are raging across parts of Los Angeles. Starting in Pacific Palisades, fires overnight also hit parts of Malibu and Santa Monica. According to the L.A. Fire Department, the Palisades fire was zero percent contained as of Wednesday morning. Three other active wildfires in L.A. County — the Eaton, Hurst and Woodley fires — are also currently at zero percent containment.

00:11Starting in Pacific Palisades, fires overnight also hit parts of Malibu and Santa Monica.

00:17According to the LA Fire Department, the Palisades fire was 0% contained as of Wednesday morning.

00:23Three other active wildfires in LA County, the Eaton, Hearst, and Woodley fires,

00:27are also currently at 0% containment.

00:30Hamill shared on Instagram how he and his family left their home amid the spreading blaze.

00:34He wrote,

00:357 p.m. evacuated Malibu so last minute there were small fires on both sides of the road as we approached Pacific Coast Highway.

00:42At 8.15 p.m., Hamill says that he, his wife, and their dog arrived at their daughter Chelsea's house in Hollywood.

00:48He concluded his post,

00:49Most horrific fire since 93. Stay safe.

00:52And Dr. Eugene Levy, who is the current honorary mayor of the Pacific Palisades, evacuated the area early Tuesday.

00:59He told the Los Angeles Times,

01:01The smoke looked pretty black and intense. The smoke was very dark.

01:05Other Hollywood stars have taken to social media to share first-hand accounts about the blaze and its impact.

01:10Mandy Moore wrote on Instagram,

01:12Evacuated and safe with kids, dogs, and cats.

01:15Praying and grateful for the first responders.

01:18Meanwhile, Maria Shriver wrote in part,

01:20We're evacuated and have no power, but we are safe.

01:23Actor James Woods shared on social media that he lost his home.

01:27He posted this video on X, writing,

01:29I took this last night from our beautiful little home in the Palisades.

01:33Now all the fire alarms are going off at once remotely.

01:36It tests your soul, losing everything at once, I must say.

01:39Reality television personalities Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag also lost their homes to the blaze.

01:45Pratt's sister Stephanie wrote on Instagram in part,

01:48I am beyond heartbroken for my brother, Heidi, and the kids,

01:51and to all of our friends and neighbors who have lost their houses today.

01:55The Palisades Fire also engulfed Palisades Charter High School,

01:58a school that has long been a popular location for Hollywood productions,

02:02including the 1976 horror classic Carrie,

02:051984's Savage Streets,

02:07and the 2003 remake of Freaky Friday, among many others.
