Abigail is a widow with children away at school. As she tries to put her life back together, she runs into Max, an artist friend. The two always had a flirtation but circumstances never allowed them to explore their connection. With all out of their way, they set off on an adventure of pleasure, connection and discovery that uncovers some of the deeper truths both have hidden from for years. The individual traumas each have endured threaten to destroy any potential they may have found.
