00:27don't want to sound like a superfan I was an enormous superfan I've watched that show since

00:34it was in that you know very dark studio with Lloyd Grossman years and years ago and I've always loved

00:39it and to be at the helm is a dream come true it is incredible and getting this feedback you know we

00:46we began recording that a while ago and you're waiting and you're waiting and you're waiting for

00:51it's hit the screens and I wanted people to just feel that this show was joyous and exciting and

00:57they did yeah well as I as Irene says you you've got a great way with with using humor to critique

01:03the contestants and I think I mean that's really important isn't it well I don't know I think that

01:08my teachers probably would have said that my smart mouth was going to get me into trouble one day but

01:12no it got me onto Masterchef trying to bring that that human look we do constructive criticism it's

01:20it's a journey that they're on like from the moment they come in they maybe don't believe in themselves

01:25but every time we critique them they get that little bit stronger you critique but you do it with

01:30humor you've got to send them away with a smile on the face but a lesson I know I like to be I like the

01:35silliness these people are going through the most stressful thing these celebrities have put their

01:41reputations on the line we ask so much of them we have to remain silly
